I think the new chainaxe will unironically make the weapon good. They made some key changes with its moveset... basically.

Light swings are just infinite crowd-cleaving arcs. They do /not/ cause rev animations, so you're not gonna get stuck in a carapace enemy.

Heavy swings are infinite strikedowns which do rev for extra damage.

Special attack is a strikedown which I /think/ gets more damage than the normal chax strikedown.

No, it's simple. Vet is fine in term of power last patch. I consistently top damage or second with high winrate in Auric T5/M.
The only thing that feels bad is that the tree is long so you can't have as much flexibility.
Now, we didn't get nerfed, in fact, we got 2/3 points extra depending on your build so now we can only get stronger.
Therefore, we are in OP territories.
