The pinned gun guide is more "these are at least feasibly useful if you get it" and lacks specifics as to what comprises an optimal loadout. You'd ideally want flak/maniac perks and deathspitter/fire frenzy on that. I'd replace the stamina for maniac and one of the blessings for deathspitter.

Both have different use cases but stripped does let you sprint head first into oncoming fire.

Flak/maniac is overwhelmingly better for the vast majority of ranged weapons. Although there's a select few that want unarmored like the helbore 2. Or unyielding for elephant guns like plasma/hb3.

Melee is a different story, because there's way less maniacs (naked ragers and muties) that you'll be hitting in close range and many don't bother trying to engage with ragers in melee unless they have a melee that just invalidates them.

If you aren't hitting maniacs often or at all in melee, having it on your weapon gives you very little value.

Some may also need flak/unarmored to hit breakpoints on both bruiser types reliably. (Rashad is a good example of this if you don't take melee boosts).

Headshots naturally have extra damage, so you can get more damage than you normally would with headshots. Recons for example don't do any damage to carapace on body shots, but do at least chip on headshots.

Hey guys, got a weird question. Is it true that Rank IV blessing chances are tied to higher Item Rating? For example I've been trying to get Rank 4 Power Cycler on power swords by crafting up to orange and have had no luck. Someone told me that Rank IV blessings are higher chance when it comes to items near 380 stat rating but was wondering if this was the case?
