bulwarks are sometimes interesting in that they can shield other enemies charging at you, preventing you from acquiring targets before they engage you in melee, but otherwise they're just annoying. it feels like I'm fussing around or something dealing with bulwarks.
I'll admit I do get a laugh every time I see a player who has no weapon to deal with one though and doesn't realize there's an open window during swings, having a 5 minute struggle session while the rest of the party both starts and finishes an entire horde

correct. you are going to fail somewhere in your kit. you cant do everything. The reason the kantreal is so good is because you can kill those enemies who are far away. Right now, it has great mid range reach for a shotgun, and the secondary fire is infinite ranged, or damn near. you use your secondary fire to shoot anything out of range, and you stack burn on them using it a few times if you cant ads them.

and you can ads kill quite far on that thing

fyi you are not getting one shots on elites for most weapons with a supp build. not even chaff melee unless you use a axe or something

i feel the shotguns are better than ever, but i did use them before the update to their dmg. blessings matter too, but its all about how you use them. their strong point is their flexibility with the stopping power and supression.

yeah, on your build, you can only really use it for that. you also wont be able to get a lot out of it when you start getting special pour in during a horde, or other clutch moments either very easily

its possible, but theres a lot of dodging involved. personal experience

either way, you cannot respond well to the threat engagment uptime ( I mean # of enemy specials pouring in) with the revolver without some support, or building into it. even with the blessing, that hoop for close range kills in more annoying than you think, and its about as good as running 1/2 of your reload talents, so you still would consider picking up one of the two

but using it is relative to how much space you can get from your team, or that you make yourself, combined with your ranged gameplay uptime ( or how much you intend to shoot shit for a duration of time)

TL;DR the revolver is good, but you cant respond to intense engagements with it without building into it.

Revolver will never treat you badly. It's the great equaliser of all builds. Sorta like a plasma sword. It'll never treat you badly when it's built right.

One bad thing with the plasma weapon is that if you overheat your gun literally explode

It'll never blow up as long as you don't try shooting when it's at 100%

only if you're using rmb, which is inefficient ammo wise

most times you'll end up overkilling a target where you could have lmb'd and used less ammo
