the most significant breakpoint to determine this is by having a 76+ Damage and Stopping Power on the Plasma. If you have a Charge Rate of over 76-80. Try doing a quick charged shot against a Trapper, without a Maniac perk. It would most likely result in the Trapper having a few HP left.
