Combat Axe, especially Rashaad with Brutal Momentum, feels really good and safe for me (currently my own choice)

outside of those, I would give a hot take that the rest of the weapons are more or less specialized/flavor

Honestly just run a Mk6 PSword and a normal ranged build with Scavenger and call it a day. Going "full melee" for Vet on the right passive tree is a bit of a lost cause as it has a lot of very anemic talents. Go halfway into the middle tree and halfway into the left tree with the Vet shout ability and you're pretty much set.

Laspistol is more of a Psyker thing, it's actually their best boss DPS if you could believe it. For Vets it's definitely usable but you'd be a discount Gaze Psyker for all intents and purposes imho.

I mean. You can go for it, but Infiltrate works better for weapons that can dump a LOT of firepower in 5 seconds flat (assuming you're running the +50% damage talent). That's why I love running it with Boltgun.
