you must learn the optimal way to use a weapon so what
most melees are good enough to deal with everything

like my main takeaway from the original event was that I thought the rot after you killed them did no dmg

trust me it sounds like a player skill issue because most players aren't that great
takes my mission time from a crisp 20 minutes when this stuff happens. or it leads to the team wipe becuase nobody else can handle them either
a lot of people use bad builds or just don't do as much damage as they should
it takes 9 seconds to do that to 1 crusher under TEST conditions
your takes of people are bad, are not good enough to agrue against what i've layed out

I explained most people are lacking in dps which when you get a bunch of enemies really hits
it would take like 50 seconds to kill 10 crushers on your own

it checks out alot of the time

amazing, now add some for human error, and double it to account for the extra mobs. and then roll the 1/3 if it hits the target or not or some random group of lil shits

I'd say the weapon are or aren't balanced but i really don't know because i haven't actually learned them properly
I can express if they feel bad but its usually just not the right setup
or leveling them up which is no fun
game just has a lot to be learned which is good and a lot of people just want to progress difficulty without learning
also if you some how did learn like all base classes thats amazing because it took me 400+ hours to 90% all classes

i have my own version of creature spawner that i edited myself and apparently after this update, it's not that invis crashes, but it just doesn't work anymore lmao
like you can toggle it on/off and it does nothing
then you fixed the crash part but not the function

it is tho the invis is applied as buff and turning it off is trying to remove the buff but it cant and it crashes instantly

creature spawner, invisibility toggle is broken so i had to spawn and facetank bursters i shot
will be downloading that shit, too many builds require i avoid mobs or dodge for testing

thats a pretty long time tbf. I think my leveling time for orig 4 was less than 100 hours all together and maybe 150 for all masteries. If you have your basics down, even hogher difficulty isnt impossible, just slow.
I do think the game struggles with gear checks instead of skill checks, and has way too much deeply obfuscated bullshit on how weapons work and the inspect card not updating for your build is just dogshit.
i genuinely prefer charge zealot to this for the added skill req, nore fun for me. Stealth almost feels cheaty

and i dont personally like those. If they had say, the weakpoint where you can see their neck under the armor, where its hard to time and hit and that was just unyielding in that spot, thst would open up most of the lower tier

If all armor in the game either had an over heat mechanic from lasgun, plasma and fire weapons or permanent wesr and teae brittleness i tgink the weapon balance would be in a better place
But like balance is not a concern right now its really the last issue i have

well, since youre being weirdly reticent about your hours: when you have a few k hours, meta starts to feel really claustrophobic and you tend to either have to do "loincloth and stick against melania" runs with garbage tier stuff for sinple variety

Point is this, carapace is a gear/build check. Ctusher is the main issue, and they've got several other issues (inconsistent hitbox on attack compared to weapon model, all orgyns can turn on a a dime or spin in place which is dogshit lore and gameplay wise, heavy overhead should bowl over their allies like mutant charges) but they really are the chokepoint for build variety atm

Heres the issue with how this game is being handled at the moment: we have a lot of options, many of which are suboptimal and some are activrly self-sabotaging. That means from many ststting points, we have fewer successful paths and the planning portion of skill expression isnt there.
however, that means you have an inversely proportional means of making the game harder
the simple solution to that is going down in difficulty

Dueling sword and knife have literally some of the worst horde clear times of the game
I mean i think this game already has so much to think about when it comes to building right that sure even if you make carapace easier to deal with players are still honestly going to decide to not look into anything and have bad builds anyways
Doesnt matter, because the worst horde clear times in the game are proportionately better and more effective than the worst armor clear times are on poor armor weapons
and armor is more of a threat
hmm, if i were to give my 2 cents on "carapace issue", it's that it is too over centralized, it's literally a HD2 situation back when chargers and bile titans were the focus of people's gear - bring heavy anti-armor, you're gonna have easy time, don't bring it, you will struggle
it is literally based on gear and it is a gear problem
now HD2 and darktide have different situations as darktide has more ways to deal with carapace, but it's the fact that they spawn many of them at you at once while you also have to deal with other shit in the process

creature spawner invisibility toggle will cause you to crash, so you cant turn invis off to actually spar with them. i dont know if solo play is broken in the sense of "your invisibility is off, therefore crash" since its classified as psykhanium when you run it
Hive scum and arbites whole stick is to deal eith carpace by going around its strengths, which is why they feel kinda bs and pay to win, which is a shame because they are legitmately interesting in the first place
I think most classes handle carapace pretty well
like arbities is not really a big dps class

As an ogryn player mass crusher are not a problem unless you bring knife + twinstubber/rippergun

stagger isnt kills, and becuase bleed does dogshit damage to, guess what, only carapace, another chokepoint

i literally expected a vet bolter for the ogryn but more controllable and more ammo
first time i got it
i play me some ogryn too, but about half of ogryn weapons are not great at anything. the top tier ones are amazing tho
stagger isn't kills but it absolutely can give more dps as you aren't dodging attacks
forgot to even check mine, exploded twice, still did good damage B)
plus teammates can also help out during that stagger
bleed and fire needs rending to work with or brittleness
Kinda right, knife doesn't kill 5 crusher at once but its manageable
ogryn ranged repeating weapons are ammo kitted like they hit like trucks but theyre basically just reskinned auto guns.

Wgat dont you lile about relix blade? Like dont get me wrong, i still have a photo of old thammer on my nightstand, but it doesnt feel as good anymore and relic blade does almost everything thammer does at pike 90% quality plus does everything else better

this build is mega cursed but the synergy especially with my playstyle is really good, so i get what you mean

i have a support build for veteran that looks bad on paper but is good at dishing out dots and brittleness that i barely run grenades
recon and shock maul, can stack max bleed, brittleness, burn and electrocute with a quick weapon swap andnsome headshots

see ive worked with chainsaws for wood and bandsaws for wood and meat separate jobs (worked as a logger and at a butcher shop for a while) and its really amazing how different the designs are for saws.

dunno chainweapons can deal with armor but not really ideal for to do so for prolonged engagements they are cheaper to produce on a large scale compared to power swords

Trying a melee psyker build but I dont want anything that is only good for one thing or another

Iβve generally been playing on malice to get used to farm the penances and Iβm curious if higher difficulties might help things go faster

Tech scales up to Damnation. Damnation and Auric are the same. It isn't a huge difference though.

Yeah I stopped playing when that started happening every match. It may be a crash due to late aggro, someone leaving or whatever. They will fix it in another month or two.

Anyone know why my textures on certain enemies are quite blurry before they load in after some seconds? I've heard ppl mentioning vram and stuff, but surely a 5080 should be able to load textures fast enough?

hey i'm experiencing some weird things on expeditions, game works good but sometimes performance seems really affected, i don't know if this is the reason but i noticed that trapers and snipers are way faster, like if the game eat some frames on syncronization on the match, also happen when tryng to change the gun while i'm firing sometimes seems like the input of the mouse firing the gun is stucked and instead of change the weapon keep shooting 2 seconds wich can be translated into a death if you try to swap to melee to push poxbusters, i'm feeling like the game is somehow eating some fps, could this be for framegen?
I can't remember an update that DIDN'T cause massive connection issues.
Does corruption apply to wounds or to the total health? Like will someone with 3 wounds corrupt fully slower than 2 wounds when getting corruption in like, expedition?

is there an order of hardest to easiest expedition zones? Im assuming lamda is hardest and alpha is easiest
Check the modifiers tabs above the mission description. There is an achievement for unlocking 18 zones so my guess is they are not all on the same page or more have yet to be added over time.

A bunch of talents benefit from high peril, and low warp resist helps you reach those levels faster

then alternate dump stats for very specific builds, but yeah warp res is good rule of thumb for all psyker things

it is technically not 2 uses btu 2 attacks. you get a buff if you take master-crafted shroudfield and in that window you cna get off 2 more attacks
so techncially speakign it is 3 attacks
it is a tight window though and you have to charge precisely to oneshot 2 more crushers but it is doable
They removed that a couple updates ago
in the past you were able to get 2 hits off with full buffs from shroudfield, if you timed it right
but it got fixed a few updates ago
btu the 5 second buff is still ingame
just checked it too
it is not the full shroudfield effect, granted but a sizeable bonus to back attacks
yeah that's there, just nowhere near what you used to be able to do
like double backstab on boss with full shroud effects

in the new expedition mode, there is the barrel that you can place in the safe rooms, but you can also extract with it on the valk. Do you have to be physically holding it in the valk? or can you just place it on the ground in the valk?
we placed 2 on the floor of the valk when extracting out, but idk if that counted or not
you have to hold it for the acheivment, if you mean the data vault

it was a bug when it didnt count to your total, supposedly they fixed that
youll have to test tbh, pin the penance for it and extract with it on the valk

There are tweaks you can try, but no guarantees if they will work for you. Just the engine really hates AMD.

normal missions getting armour patrols, had a crusher patrol spawn in then open the martyr skull door

auric expeditions in general can go from p chill to havoc 40 levels of stuff thrown at you at once if you trigger a lot of it

You get lucky and you take 0 damage, you get unlucky, you go flying off the map.
Enemies can still shoot you btw.
Weirdly enough it was a second right i got dragged by the tornado, my health went all go down in a frame
there was no enemies shooting me
Might be some fall damage jank. It is a FS game after all. They still haven't fixed the shield bug after months.

generally though turning off things like raytracing can help
all the unnecessary stuff you wont use, you can also slowly turn things down or off until it runs smooth enough for you
i've turned up a lot of stuff down, almost everything down to low, and i cant crack 100 fps no matter what

For starters, be sure that Raytracing is turned off. It has defaulted to on in past updates. Also avoid FSR and/or framegen.
I can't send screenshots here but im getting a terrible 60-80 fps (very unstable) right now. No fsr, no framegen, no ray tracing

for many people myself included we have no choice but use framegen, this game perfomance is a mess depending whats currently on your screen and intensity
