With the new system we want to remove a lot of the unpredictable grind that came from an RNG heavy system whilst giving players more agency and a steady manner to progress toward specific loadouts, blessings, and stats refinement.

I use a Ryzen 5 5600X with an RX 7600 graphics card. Assuming you are talking about video settings I run the medium preset, FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 on quality mode, VSync on cause I have a good monitor, no ray tracing, and an unlimited framerate cap. With these settings the game looks pretty nice and I rarely run into fps issues, and the game doesn't sap up all of my CPU or memory.

You might be able to run the game on high depending on your graphics card, but I get inconsistent fps with that preset and it doesn't look too different to me tbh.

I also turned motion blur off as a personal preference, but it doesn't change much in terms of performance. 👍

The moment the animation begins, it counts as a heavy attack. Charging it up does not increase damage, stagger, cleave, etc.

What's the targetting logic behind Assails? Do they prioritise the enemy I look at?

• the shard is within a certain distance of an enemy
• your cursor is over the enemy
• the shard has not locked onto them previously
  ...then, the shard will lock onto that enemy

assail is best described as an aim-assist weapon rather than an auto-aim weapon, in case you're getting the wrong impression from it

if this hasn't been changed by any patch, then the LMB has a lifetime of 2.5s before despawning, and the RMB has a lifetime of 3s without EP and 3.5s with EP.

this got me testing the aiming mechanism more and it seems that you do have to hold your cursor over an enemy for them to maintain the lock-on
it seems that they can lock-on but also just screw off elsewhere if you move your cursor away from the enemy before they hit

though if the shard is close enough to lock-on, it doesn't take long for it to travel to the enemy

The idea is that it's a general indicator of reliability and what to expect. Obviously someone can be level 1,400 and still be shit at a character, but how likely is it that everyone at that level will be bad at their character?

Of course it's never going to be 100% accurate relying on titles or etc. for indicators of performance.

I suppose your right about that. People can complete 100 missions and still be bad. My main gripe about the achievement is the fact that it's consecutive. I can quick join a match, Look at the bottom left screen, see my whole team dead, and get exploded off a railing all in 3 seconds. This kills my streak.

At the end of the day I just feel robbed.

It would be nice to just change this achievement, double or quadruple the missions. And not make it consecutive

Hello I am getting a weird bug I am wondering if anybody knows about or even better if there is a fix I can do. I'd call it a "shower door" effect basically this black partially transparent effect is always present while I play. It is attached to my camera giving the game an appearance of being viewed through a shower door. I can see everything else moving normally as it should but this black stuff does not move and stays in the same place on my camera.

are you using in-game upscaling? are you using DLSS? those could be the culprits too, in my personal experience XeSS has been the best non-RTX solution with zero grain
besides that you can also turn off ambient occlussion as I remember that doing some really wonky things with grainy shadows

As it turned out the problem was with having ambient occulusion on low. I found that if I put it on medium then the problem was there but less bad then off and after restarting it goes away.

Try playing weapons that don't just spam light attacks, but incorporate heavies into their combo. This will help train you to be more careful with your mouse inputs and it will help with learning the attack patterns of your weapons

Ironhelm is a good weapon for learning all about manipulating your combos depending on the situation

That’s largely situational depending on the weapon, target priority, ammo economy, build, and risk. So you’d have to get a feel of that.

Generally, disablers and snipers that are out of stabbing range are high priority for blastin.

Sometimes shooters need suppressing, sometimes you can easily close the distance and out-shoot them with your knife, really depends.

For enemies I would normally slap with an axe on my zealot, I might choose to blast on my veteran because of the ranged perks.

Yeah, I tend to run Eviscerator with the agripa revolver, so I frequently switch to it both for the talent that reduces reload speed after melee kills, along with taking out higher priority targets like Crushers/Carapace enemies since generally all of them die in 3-5 shots from it

Got a question about blessings. I've noticed that claiming a blessing from a Ironhelm Hammer will then be available from my Crucis Hammer. I'm really want to get into Auric Level gameplay. Does anyone know of a place where I can get a complete rundown on Blessing and how they are transfered from weapon to weapon, and even between characters?

idk if theres a full guide but in short, all blessings are shared between all characters on the same weapon type. so if you had something like thrust on a combat axe it'll be on every combat axe like the Achlys MK VIII and Antax MK V but it won't be on tactical axes like the Axtrox MK II or IV

so im having issues with stuff like that where sometimes (every mission) some parts of the map are just invisible. this mostly happens to the floor but sometimes the walls and the ceiling are affected too. in addition to that i have issues where the sprites and textures of stuff are completely f-ed up and round things are not round anymore but triangular. Im running the game on Proton since im running Linux as ma OS but first when i played the game in october last year i had the same issues despite playing on windows 10 and 11

I think its game bug on linux as i never seen this on my rx6950xt before on any driver version, U can try to clean shader cache files(i have no idea where on linux they are stored🙃 ) or try to mess with texture filtering quality options in radeon control panel. so normally each target you cleave past the first has decreasing returns on its damage done and impact imparted

except for things like the brutal momentum blessing

that blessing basically keeps impact even across your cleave, because each target hit after the first, gets an increase to the decreased impact you'd normally do for each subsequent enemy hit

with the end result being you will stagger across your cleave much more consistently than without it

the trick there, is going into the meat grinder at tier 5 and seeing how many targets the weapon you want to put it on can cleave in the first place

so things like the slab shield hits five targets per cleave I think

but other weapons like combat axes hardly ever cleave more than one target past your initial hit

if your weapon can cleave several targets then the impact increase across the cleave will be much more useful than if it can only hit one more target past the first if that makes sense

I did a deep dive a while back on the numbers and realized mobility isn't the paul's dump stat

penetration is

with a low pen the only armor you're losing out against is flak, as carapace is basically zero either way

but with a high mobility, your sprint/dodge/push all benefits

and the weapon becomes much more nimble to use

Hammer has some simple stagger combos for trash that can farm backstabs if needed for more charges

Practice throwing knives for specialists

Flamer is vs trash hordes use short bursts and maybe a puff, most of your damage is burning so don’t overspend ammo for weak contact damage when they will burn to death anyways

Make sure your flamer has 76% burn stat and high cloud radius (hopefully also 76%)

If you have an Ogryn character, Orox shield is one of the better weapons to achieve this penance on

And Ogryn by default has a lot of stamina, so reviving an ally while they are surrounded by horde enemies makes it a relatively easy completion. Or you could simply taunt a lot of horde enemies with Loyal Protector ability and watch them flail at you while you’re blocking.

For leveling, you can typically find yourself a group in the #vox-lfg-lexicanum LFG channels.

As for a build, it’s better to wait until level 30 to begin worrying about weapons as that’s when you’re able to obtain better baseline stats and perks/blessings for them. Until then, buying and playing with whatever seems interesting/slightly better works fine.

This sends you over 2 major breakpoints (not dying from 2 sniper shots or 2 Poxburster explosions)

Usually fresh 30s should be aiming to hit normal damnation before jumping into aurics and maels. Good tips are to ask your class channel for cheap, easy builds and talent trees, and just practice

Many people get the Abhor The Mutant penance wrong by hitting the mutant right after the charge ends when you need to do it whilst still moving, once you get the timing right it's very easy to get.
