been playing in a party of 3 on gamepass and we get "matched" with a bot every time. we've been careful not to press "p" but "enter instead so it isnt a private game but still, always bots. are we doing something wrong?

Definitely not a bad starter for a xii. I'd recommend rerolling that infested into an +dmg to specials or elites.
Two blessings I like for the xii are ghost and the suppression resistance

I always choose missions from the terminal and it can put you in a mission that's already started. Only way is with a private match, or selecting a mission as soon as it becomes available.
I always thought if you select quick play it can drop you anywhere in a current game. But if you select from the mission board, it either sends you to a lobby or a game that has just started (like the players are in the first segment). That’s been my experience anyway, I haven’t selected a mission from the board and been dropped in a late phase mission.

I've tried 3 times to get a good blessing on my flamers, I got 3 of them so far and none of them ahve been above 35

It is decent enough to roll a blessing if the blessing is good roll 2nd perk then if that is good its a keeper.

520 is the best guess I have but really all that matters is the individual section points. Tier 4 perk ÷ Tier 4 blessings with a 380 base score.
How do I get the HUD scale below 50%?
It's not in the user_settings.ini so I can't lower it manually

Hi, new here. What does "suppress enemies" mean for a weapon? specifically Terrifying barrage "suppress enemies within 7m radius on close range kill"
When you kill something with that perk everything in 7m will cower

its just a shame that supression is completly worthless and to actually procc it you have to kill something within like 4 meters at which point you are in 99% of the cases swapping to your melee weapon anyways
Can someone tell me what difference between the Mk I Devils Claw and the Mk VII Devils Claw is? I have two that are very similar in stats and honestly can tell one bit of difference between them.
Just checked all the upper and lower bounds on the modifiers of each: identical. Also the same attack patterns for both. And same access to blessings. Wtf?

21% base, 5% from perk
For a total of 26% max HP overall per curio
Hp curios: 19- 21% max HP depending on rarity (absolute total 26% with 5% HP perk)
Toughness curios: 15- 17% bonus toughness depending on rarity (absolute total 22% with 5% Toughness perk)

I swear it doesn't on my end. After that discussion yesterday I was careful and paid more attention to my surroundings and the blessing just didn't work, like at all. Not once did a shooter or a groaner was affected when I killed its friend right in front of its face.

That's actually a really good roll for a braced autogun so if that's a weapon archetype you enjoy get it and replace damage to groaners/poxwalkers with I would recommend anti-elite or anti-flak. Flak is a good universal perk because most enemies that dont already die in 1 hit have some form of flak on them.

380 is the cap. 2 top tier perks for 25 each, and 2 top tier blessings for 55 each make for 540 as the current maximal possible overall score.

thankfully, no. hanging off ledges doesn't break the penance chain either. only getting into red health incap.
For perk rerolls I noticed the cost goes down slowly with each try for whatever reason, does it eventually go to 0 so I can just infinitely reroll for the perk and tier I want?
i recommend doing it on zealot since he has a built-in failure prevention passive. it's not fail-proof, but might save in a pinch.

yes. it's a highly stupid and immature system, so be prepared to click 'reroll' for half an hour if you want something specific. the upfront costs are about 300 steel.
more for an orange item, less for lower rarity.

who came up with this idea...I have the feeling developers had not really group meetings and anyone did their own thing. Picking up grims/scriptures does not make any sense then, because the chance you get a gift is random, even with secondary objectives met.

I would rather use the stubber revolver or the shotgun. Flamer is also a nice CC weapon. Bolter just eats through ammo and VS can do elite killing better at range than the preacher. At the end you need to go the crit/bleed route anyway, otherwise you just keep dying. The preacher is a little weird balanced, so you are somewhat forced to play a certain playstyle. Sure, you can do any weapon you want, but that just increases the suffering of playing.

I’d suggest Bolter Knife, or Flamer and one of the power melees for zealots tbh
Spamming knife with bleed is pretty good crowd clear and bolter melts crushers and mailers
one way or another, you get cramps in your fingers very quickly from spamming light attacks. Unfortunately the power hammer is just bad atm, so heavy attack crowd control is not viable.
The Mark IV heavy sword is also pretty good in terms of horde clearing, but yes, then you need a bolter, because armor pen does not exist in that sword at all
heavy swords deal with hard targets just fine.
crushers take a bit of whooping, sure, but it's about on par with most other weapons.

Ignore this nonsense. I've got hundreds of games on Zealot, here's the deal. (Bare in mind this is all from the context of you playing on Damnation. On Malice or lower, there are no rules and the points don't matter)
Flamer is the best ranged weapon you have, objectively if we assume that you're playing with randoms/uncoordinated groups. It can easily kill any non-ogryn elite even on damnation in less than a full tank of fuel. (And kills everything around it too. You can easily pick up 60+ kills in a single sweep of the thing)
You combine the Flamer with either an evis or a TH to give yourself the ability to easily tangle with any enemy in the game, including monstrosities, this gives you big clutch/solo potential once you get used to dodging dogs/nets.
If you're playing with a group who you know has AOE covered through some combo of another flamer or a flame psyker, you can swap to a bolter if you want. This gives you ranged takedown options on a wider variety of targets.
If you're not using the flamer, it's wise to either stick with the Evis for it's above average horde clear and good anti-elite or switch to a heavy sword for the high horde clear. Though said clearing is really only available once you get decent blessings.
The knife is a meme. It's okay in highly skilled hands for the extreme mobility it has but it's worse single target than the evis/TH and it's way worse AOE than something like a HS.
Shotgun is awful but fun, can be used in Malce or lower.
Stack absolutely as much toughness as you can get, it's how you stay alive. Momentum is the best Blessing you can get on anything and will hugely improve your survivability.

Haven't played a lot of high level yet, but do love the Bolter. But I'll always swap to something efficient if I am in a specific team layout 😄

I disagree with some points there. The shotgun is very good in supressing specials and elites (except crushers/bulwarks) and if you aim downsides, you can even snipe to some degree. The knife is more than a meme weapon, since it can buff ogryn too. Horde clear should be your least concern, ogryn and psyker can easily fend of a horde on their own.
The mark V axe is damn strong to. The heavy evi is good in clearing if you use light-block-light yes. But if you ref it up, make sure you are not in a bad spot, since this locks you in about 1 1/2 second animation. I would say the easiest weapon to use is either the heavy sword Mark IX or the Mark V axe.
Do yourself a favor and rebind the crouch and dodge buttons to the same key and hold it whenever you do a doge. This will make you slide every time. Huge increase in your ability to stay alive and close the distance to enemies with guns. I'd go so far as to say close to mandatory for high level Zealot play.
Next, go into your settings and turn on stationary dodge. This will make you dodge backwards if you hit spacebar while standing still. Spamming spacebar with this active will cause you to alternate dodging and jumping. Gives you excellent backwards mobility while still fighting since you can maintain some of your momentum from the dodge into the jump.
This is all from the perspective of a damnation mindset. Shotgun's suppression doesn't matter in damnation and why bother suppressing anything when setting it on fire is the same amount of CC and kills it in seconds?
The Mark V axe is fine but it's worse single target DPS than the Evis/TH by a LONG way and it's anti-horde is worse than the Heavy sword. Specialized melee that covers your ranged weakness and visa versa is the key to high level play since it gives you a tool for everything.
As for getting in a bad spot, that should be impossible with a combination of pushing, dodging and your stun grenade. Unless you're literally boxed into a corner by bulwarks, a zealot should be impossible for the AI to trap.
Oh, here's a little pro tip for you. Your zealot charge ability? It doesn't only apply to melee weapons. If you charge and use your flamethrower, the game doesn't count it as actually hitting anything but you keep the autocrit/increase damage for the whole spray. It absolutely evaporates entire rooms of the strongest elites(Including crushers).
No I don't mean blocked phisically in a corner. I mean risking to kill that crusher with the special attack while a mauler is charging his overhead. You can't dodge while in animation and if your 75% toughness resistance isn't up, you can take quite a beating. That's what I meant with being aware about your surroundings.

You can't dodge but you can move. You can pivot around anything you're rev killing to dodge stuff and since the Rev itself is CC on literally all non-monstrosity enemy types, it's usually pretty safe.
Keep in mind that enemies attack where you are, not where you're going so you can still 'dodge' just by by strafing. (Keep in mind this bit only applies if you aren't running away from enemies. For whatever reason, stuff has insane melee range when you're moving away from it.
And if you're using a TH, you can safely dodge whenever so it's a non-issue.
I think for the heavy sword, you go for Deathsplitter as blessing since it gives you a free cleave through everything for nearly any hit since its first hit is a top down or high sweep. Thats why I love the Mark V axe. Sure, horde clear is crap, but you can heavy attack crushers all day long.
I'm not playing Damnation yet, but from what I heard, it isn't that much harder than heresy. There is a weird difficulty spike between malice and heresy, but thats it. (not considering high intensity) I just think if you want CC and good horde clear, the psyker is your way to go. You can oneshot a horde with 6 warp charges and the lvl 30 talent. The surge staff can stunlock everything except monsters .
I would rather go for shutting down gunners and concentrate on elites as preacher. But thats my view of the preacher, good thing is, nearly anything is viable in higher difficulties, it just makes things more stressful with some weapons. And that the thunder hammer has no cleave with his special is just terrible decision making. It is a great boss killing weapon, but the HA just takes too much time to be considered "good" compared to other weapons.
No offense friend but you don't have the experience to be making calls like this.
All I can tell you is that you'll drift toward my suggestions the longer you play on Damnation. Of course you can consciously choose to play with off-meta options but for a new player, we should be suggesting the best options in the optimal configuration which is what I've done.
As for the difficulty difference between Heresy and Damnation? There is some. More enemies, more elites, you take a bit more damage but yeah, it's not as bad as the jump between Malice and Heresy.
But shouldn't a new player have more fun trying out different weapons first and learning the game instead of going the meta route? If they choose to nerf a certain playstyle some people who follow those guides might stop playing all together. For a long time, the surge staff was considered the best option for psyker, then people got used to the trauma or void stuff and now those are considered good too.
the same is working for the preacher. Fact is still, you need some sort of crit or bleed on your weapon, otherwise trash enemies just hit your toughness twice and you are on life bleed.
again, I understand your point and weapon choice, but people need to learn the game, since darktide, the same as vermintide, is not very beginner friendly in terms of mechanics. I've seen my fair share of preachers who just rush in enemies and die because they think its the same as zealot in VT2.

any time i see damnation gameplay, the biggest difference between it and my experience is how much they rely on teammates, everything gets done, flanks are held, nobody goes down, steady as she goes.
it's not quite the same in pubs.
like i just got from a heresy game, and on the end screen it was revealed that teammates were lvl 7, 13, 20-something. which explained their performance.

The best build for Darktide is what is most fun. I do think you need to specialize for heresy and damnation though if you want to win those matches.

Okay so I got a question (may ruffle some feathers) - Why are people trying to get the power sword nerfed into the ground when this game has no competitive element to it? If people like the power sword, let them use the power sword. Why do weapons NEED to be arbitrarily balanced? What competitiveness are they balancing for? The difficulty of the mission? You WANT to spend 6-10 slashes to take down a single special rager? Because I don't, I want to cut through swathes of enemies like butter and a powered-up power sword lets me achieve that. THAT is fun to me. But for others it seems they hate it and I don't understand why they're trying to (in my opinion) ruin a great weapon simply because it's effective. If this was a competitive game with PvP or something, I would get it. But it's not. Its just a level-based horde survival game.

Some people likes to force their views on others, some are against it because it breaks the gameplay balance for their play, or they get jelous of veteran being effective at ranged already while veteran unfairly dominate in melee with ps meanwhile ogryn is weaker and so on. Some even are against people having too much fun because they are bitter and resentful.
The question is, what can you do about it?
I just dont want it to be changed and if it gets changed from people speaking up about not liking it, the only way i see to combat that is to speak up about liking it.
you can look at it the other way - other melee weapons that should be comparable are just busted like thunder hammer for zealots, its also a power weapon but no cleave, power-up only lasts for 1 hit and doesn't even do a cool AOE explosion
each weapon has its own things it does well, and shines at.
finding what you want to do then getting the right tool for that job

For one reason or another, Tide games has attracted a community that wants the game to be challenging and skillful. You dont see as much complaining about balance in games like L4D2 or DRG. Personally I am with you, weapons that don't reach the power of others should be buffed, nothing nerfed. The fact 90% of random groups cant do damnation is evidence enough that it wouldn't ruin the experience.

How rare are ~380 base items? I've been 30 for over a week and I've only got one 379 and a few ~360. none really good. My shop is FULL of <330

Game has crashed like at least 15 times today. Assuming it's the Worker Threads. I have 8 cores in my CPU, but anything above 1 worker thread consistently crashes me. I wouldn't mind this, but it seems that using only 1 tanks my performance even more than the unoptimization of the game for the 30 series. Anyone else having similar issue still even after patch?

Yea press ESC while ingame anywhere on the Mourningstar, go to penances and click the dropdown for each class so you can check

salvo is a special term that means 'shots before accuracy had the chance to fully reset'.
so any rapid fire that causes recoil and spread to accumulate, whether fully- or semi-auto, can have salvos consisting of multiple shots.

Missing a four block perk via flak armor or likewise but other than that, yes it would be good for a XII. On Ia with same ammo draw as Xii for fraction of damage, the model itself is flawed.

I haven't verified it myself but private lobbies should function as normal lobbies and you do get progress towards pennances/weeklies

Why does the thunder hammer charge up stop cleaves from happening, when other charged melee weapons have better cleave after charging

I would say no. Unfortunately thats just the way DT plays. BUT, if you like it and want to rock it, then get proficient with it so when it hopefully gets a buff you'll be ready to rock at higher levels
what is a "salvo?" for the purposes of the talent that increases the damage of the first shot in a salvo
From my understanding, its the first shot from the weapon per mouse click. For automatic weapons its meh but for semi automatic weapons such as the xii its one of the best in slot blessings.
not quite that simple. salvo ends when accuracy fully resets. so if you fire slow, then yes, every shot will be a separate salvo. but on a fast spam it won't be.

even with plasma gun there's no real alternative to counterfire. big dudes will die anyway, but this way you can keep 1bodyshotting any shooters though cover, several in a row, etc.
don't forget that vet ult is a defensive tool just as much as it is offensive, so keeping it up as long as possible is vital.
also, i don't agree vs dogs. plasma gun doesn't kill them instantly, yes, but neither do other weapons. however, plasma gun dismounts them with a light shot. again, through walls and cover. it can save a run easily.
(and a charged plasma headshot does kill a dog on heresy. or a single chainsword rev, or whatever else you have)

I believe that is completely the other way around. Zealots rely heavily upon the veteran for ranged counter while zealots ST eliminate. It's symbiotic really, when I have a zealot who horde/ST focuses while I as the veteran ranged/specials focuses....
And unless the plasma has received some major love without my notice... (it hasnt) it still remains one of the worst picks out there. Bolter is by far the more sustainable ST (monsters ogryns) removal but seeing as entire classes are literally designed for ST removal, I cant see any reason why a vet would wish to cripple their team by no ranged spam removal. The xii is absolute in this with a case being made for various other lasgun models except the recon.
If you're out to 'break the meta' and play what you want, cool. But if we are talking seriously 4+ then plasma isnt anywhere on the map. Take it up with FS. I dont like it either.

I’d guess stuff like physics and ragdolling is more CPU heavy, and textures and lighting is gonna be more GPU heavy
You might consider the level of detail distance. I forget what it’s called in Darktide, but it’s the setting that controls how far away from you the “high poly count” models should be the ones loaded.

Im really struggling on 4+ missions as Sharpshooter. I tend to get surrounded by horde and either die by not being able to dodge/push/block or because of some special/elite that I can’t address because I’m knee deep in hordes (looking at you pox hound). I’ve notice I tend to run off in my own direction when shit hits the fan, so I’m going to work more on staying on coherency, ideally next to an Ogryn or someone with high stagger. I usually rock a Power Sword or a Combat Blade. How can I improve? I know as a Sharpshooter my primary focus is specials/elites, but how I do I keep from getting mobbed to death in 4+ runs? Any advice would be appreciated.
Play around your flamer zealot / purgatus staff if you have one on the team- or ideally they should play around you
Those are the area denial / space creating dudes who will make room for you to do your work of taking out the specials

What @fervent ridge said is ideal. Yes, having mindful teammates to support you as you're targeting mid-long range incoming threats is huge and when you find those teammates make them your premade group friends. You'll have a much better time of it.
Now, for the less ideal situation. You don't have a kick ass zealot, (friendly ogryn tends to block too much space when he's close range to me) and you still have priority targets that need to die quickly. Prior positioning is key to each engagement. Allow yourself to shift to the rear of the group and rarely run ahead. If there are no teammates infront of you when you're pushing through the map, thats.... not ideal and you had best be mindful of how quickly the director can smack you. While you are in the rear of the group you have a much easier time assessing threats, marking targets, and eliminating shooters as they maneuver to contact with your allies. Just being mindful of keeping your team between you and the ambient threats while calling out spawned threats to your front line by type and direction can mitigate 75% of 'surrounding' issues.
What's also important to note is that when your team is (hopefully) engaging as the front line, you have your kantrael xii out and are looking for long range-incoming threats. Very often, the window to eliminate threats that can dust up an unsuspecting zealot/ogryn/psyker will be in your favor, but still if you're having troubles communicating and marking these targets-> slave your tag button to your primary fire button. Yes, it will mark targets for you as you fire upon them making the target box constraints easier to hit in. It will -also- (and this is important) alert your teammates what exactly is coming their way seemingly automatically. The mark is followed by an audio voice line stating what it is and is almost if not more effective than voice callouts which as the veteran I highly recommend you use your mic to do. Callouts help. Target, direction, distance is a good start. Whom that target is.. well... targeting... is a great addon too but brevity is important here. Long callouts reduce reaction time.
In closing, while your power sword can definitely help with horde clear (and you should if absolutely necessary, gotta hold the line sometimes) the horde threat is nothing compared to the specials/elites that you can be spotting while your zealot/ogryn almost singlehandedly wipes that horde out. They are build for such engagements, you on the other hand are looking for what's next coming down the pipe. If its horde, announce it. If its bad news (mutants, ragers, trappers etc etc) kill it. Kill it quickly. Your horde focused zealots/ogryns are depending on you.

P.S. Camo expert can help with agro mitigation, but on 4+ you rarely will be standing still but almost always maneuvering and repositioning using the tactics I've mentioned. the 75% reduction to ranged damage -and melee dmg- (yes, they forgot that bit in the text) when volley fire is up can save your life.
This is what has helped me, a technique but not a standard. Tool in the toolbelt so to say.

I'm thinking that joining a game that has already started doesn't work, but does going down in that game reset the streak? Also if you quit a game that already started does that restart the streak?

For sure, no problem. I listed that penance as one that would take me by surprise at the end of a match. Definitely not something I will ever actively work toward just one that will happen 'eventually'.

in a way, but not quite. for it to get done you need to avoid heresy+, high intensity, play on zealot, don't take stupid risks (like standing near barrels), etc.
it's not a set of conditions that can just happen for 15 games in a row.
it takes a deliberate effort.
way more games, actually, because the ones you hotjoin without ready screen don't count towards progression.
What's the best way to get help for a private lobby? I'm having trouble hitting the Gone Bowling and Heavyweight Champ penances, due to the mission rotation barely showing the best maps for it on the right difficulties, and the fact that most of my friends quit playing before they got to the right level to help me (making them less likely to come back on just for that.)
Guessing until there's a mission select on individual player private lobbies it's just a crap-shoot as to whether things line up anyway (mission + modifiers + having someone online at the right time.)
mind if someone can play with me I'm TRYING to lvl up my psyker
the only way to set up a private lobby currently is party up with all least one dude and just play, you'll have the option on the map screen.
that said, gone bowling is relatively trivial. requires an 'unstoppable' t30 feat, if course, but it can be done no problem during a regular play.
heavy chump, however, is a doozy. the hardest penance in the game.
Has anyone figured out how to kill the Monstrosity in less than 5 seconds? Im having the hardest time getting that one. There are other Penances that I need to get but I know that most of those will come with just playing the game.

one flamer can kill a beast in like 10 seconds, if you have 4 flamers it will die almost instantly on heresy
4 veterans with bolters works. Needs to be a penance focused group as thats a meme composition.
I only have 2 others I play with so if we all have max level veterans with transcendent bolters it will do the trick. Sounds good.

Heavy Stubber with good rolls can basically liquidize most monstrosities in a single magazine
I've had games where I basically soloed a Beast of Nurgle because my team got swarmed into a side room and the damn thing cornered me 😅
@gentle monolith The lessons I've learned so far going for this penance as of 20/01/2023:
- Dogs/mutants grabbing you don't count as a 'fail' (when this happens, your health bar doesn't become fully red).
- Psyker blowing up (100% peril), falling off a ledge (not hanging, going fully down/insta-death) and actually going to 0 health DO count as a 'down' aka resetting the full penance.
- If you do 5 games on char 1 successfully, and do 2 more on another character, this will count as 7 total for the penance (it's cross character).
- If you go down on any character, it resets the penance on ALL your characters.
- Alt+f4 method when you go down has proven not to work for me, at least when I blew up once accidentally as a psyker. This was before the animation had completed, aka I wasn't down yet before I pressed alt+f4.
- A game that is already in progress does NOT count, you have to be in the game from landing until finish. If you DO join an ongoing match, just leave it. As long as you aren't 'downed' while spawning in, it doesn't reset the strike. Selecting a specific mission it seldomly spawns you inside an on-going one (don't choose 'random malice'.)
I don't know if falling of a ledge (hanging there) actually fails it, since it never happened to me trying for this.
I found doing this on either veteran with the trait 'camo expert' or psyker with a deflector trait blaze force sword + voidstrike staff to be the easiest to pug randoms successfully with

does the Weak Spot Damage bonus apply to the total value listed in the Weak Spot Damage attack breakdown, or does it only apply to the "extra" damage weak spot has over regular hit damage?
If the base damage is 100, +10% weakspot damage is +10 damage even if the listed weakspot value is, say, 250

no, the individual stat bars are most important, in combination with what blessings/perks it has
in other words you may find a "low rarity" weapon with a dump stat you don't care about, let's say mobility on a rifle you snipe with is low, but it has otherwise solid stats and a kickass blessing
"rarity" and the overall rating of a weapon is just the sum of all the individual point totals, it may not actually have better utility
if you want to know more about a specific weapon, hit "V" and Inspect it either in the shop or your inventory. Hover your mouse over a bar to see the min/max and what specifically a bar affects (how many enemies does "cleave" actually let me hit? or etc.), and hit Tab to see a breakdown of specific attack damage

hey all, just got out of a game where 2 players were saying the n word over and over in vop, luckly i crashed and no longer had to hear them but when i look to find there names in past played with list to report them, not only can i not find there names in the sea of steam name with none of there in games but also that there is no way to report people
I've also been unable to find people I just played with right after a game ended
Generally speaking psword's superior in the ways that matter, especially if you got the recharge on chain hits. Not saying chains useless, but if you got savage sweep on it, it can do a respectable job of horde clear. Chsword's advantages are that it's got better dodging, and it doesn't require you to prep it with special first so its quicker out the gate if you need to swap to it.

Is crafting fully put into the game yet, also is the cosmetic store done yet or is it still fomo, and then does gear transfer between character yet?
crafting is still missing rerolling blessings and something called earn blessing, I'm assuming it's a way to do some mini objective to get a free blessing roll to upgrade a weapon like kill 1000 dregs in melee or something, cosmetic store seems mostly finished, the main page changes but you can scroll over to the pages from previous weeks and the outfits are still there, they just add new pages, no way to transfer anything between characters, big sadge, hopefully we can transfer currencies at least at some point

Higher difficulties gives a much higher ratio of diamantine compared to plasteel. If you spam out low level missions you end up with too much plasteel, if you play heresy+ consistently you end up with too much diamantine.
i play heresy mainly and never have enough diamantine

thousands of plasteel
power sword is basically an instant death radius for light targets
with DPS similar to axes for heavy targets
chainsword doesn't even come close in damage output
also chainsword locks you into animations that will get you merced on heresy and damnation
i play like 50% heresy 50% malic, my numbers are almost opposite
i have a bunch of gray weapons with like 380 base stats and curios i want to consecrate but i cant bc i never have diamantine
seems like a balance thing that needs to be addressed, should be a smooth transition between the two ends
or add some other way to get resources
or trade one for the other
it's quite absurd. first time i ever hear of it.
as long as anyone's playing malice+, diamantine stocks up and never gets used.

found out yesterday if you reroll a perk enough it eventually gets to the point where its free to reroll, really hope that's intended and not a bug

i cant be the first to figure that out, everyone should have noticed the cost lowers every time you reroll the perk
i was trying to get flak damage so i kept going bc the diamantine cost was getting so low, eventually it went to one then 0, the plasteel cost kept going down by one and eventually was at 1 for like 10 rerolls then went to zero and it let me reroll for free, seemingly endlessly
yes, that's how it works right now. and yes, it's unlimited rerolls.
but it might be indeed a temporary measure. i'm afraid they'll have to remake crafting system entirely.
and some of it will likely change in the next couple of weeks.

Boost taxes your GPU more to push out frames quicker, but most testing found that it doesn't really change anything either way

There’s a setting for environmental rubbish, and another setting for sub-surface scattering. I assume you have turned them all the way off, but if you haven’t, the first one is surprisingly cpu heavy, and the second one affects skin so it could be dragging your horde frame rate down

not capping out doesn't mean it's not performing as well as it could, the problem is exactly that that is doesn't utilize all it's cores effectively

I have a base 3060, DLSS on, super res 1 and 2 off, medium settings, 1920x1080, and I get solid 60fps in any kind of fight with 0 frame drops, so the problem isn't your gpu

I'm just saying, I have a slightly worse gpu and higher settings and no frame drops, so the problem isnt your gpu

it's a subject of many popular holywars. the idea is that all toughness recovery is in percents of the total pool. so if you have, say, 120 toughness vs 100 toughness, that also means that every single source is giving you 20% more toughness. while enemy attacks are removing it in fixed values, so you're being noticeably better off on sustain.
but is it worth it to stack instead of health, and for which class? is it worth taking a wound curio, or maybe even several? you'll encounter all sorts of opinions. there's no right answer here. pick your own variant.

And don't bother with toughness regen. Its not toughness regen its the reduction of time between damage taken and toughness regen kicking in. Its already at 3 seconds, 60% regen kicks it down to 1.3 something. Not worth the 15% max toughness you could have had instead

Guys, I'm a bit confuse. What exactly trigger Demonhost? Suppose I shoot my gun to another enemy nearby, would the demonhost trigger by its proximity to me or to the target that I shot? Also does brainbrain burst trigger it as well?

Flashlights from vet can trigger DH from my testing. Proximity, activities can all activate DH.
in my experience they work almost exactly like witches
dont shine a light on them or get anywhere near them, dont even shoot enemies near them

brain burst im not sure, but I know projectiles flying past a DH to hit something behind it can trigger it

While this is technically true, I had a match on Tier 2 (with light out modifier) where 3 Daemonhosts spawned and the second one was close enough to the first where the ambient mumbling of the first entirely prevented the sound of the second. I only noticed it because I turned a corner and heard the Daemonhost awaken noise, before it promptly tore my limbs off
If I was on my lvl 30 Ogryn, I might've been able to do something, but a level 15 Zealot with an autogun and poorly rolled 2h chainsword is basically dog food 💀

max toughness and toughness regen are seperate perks on the curio
you can have both
3 modifiable perk lines spread across 3 curios=15% max toughness>60% toughness regen. Yes you can have both but +x max hp or +corruption resistance is better in slot
Reroll chosen perk line to 4 dots always. Never settle for =<3 dots.
I've found the Daemonhost to can often be bypassed safely though. There will be a side hallway or something instead of having to tip-toe past her.
I have a feeling the always-on 5m flashlight might trigger it too, so I just keep my distance.

the resistance can obviously be whatever resistance you want to be and whichever your end up withz having on it

Disagree. Stacking hp over toughness regen is far superior. +12-15% HP>1.3 toughness regen -delay-. At least on 4-5 difficulty. Not sure what you're playing on.
That might work on 3's or below but at 4-5s the health chip becomes a huge factor and toughness regen delay cant overcome that 12-15% extra hp.

if they'll change it as some point to work on the initial chunk, it'll be better than many curio perks.
If it worked as it read, that being toughness regenerates x% faster, that would be huge. As it stands with it currently reducing the toughness regen -delay- from 3.0 seconds to (with max rolls on all three curios) 1.3ish, max hp/max toughness and dmg/corrupt resist is the way to go.
It's also multiplicative

i know a single salvo is from pressing shoot until your recoil has completly reset again but lets say im using the 3 bullet burst headhunter and have opening salvo on it, do i get the bonus damage on the very first bullet of the burst or does the whole burst count as the "first shot in a salvo" ?
I'm pretty sure they mean only the first bullet of the burst
There's another blessing for "second and third shot in a salvo"
so i can get opening salvo + sustained fire on the headhunter and get the effect of all of them on a single burst (ie single mouseclick)

no, light headhunter is quite alright. the best of the class, i'd say.
mk1 infantry is still better, of course.
k12 is in a wholly different class.

clearly we're having a terminology issue. by class i mean a weapon group. lasguns conveniently have those under a single name, like kantrael for infantry lasguns, akkatran for recon lasguns. autoguns have an incomprehensible mess instead, but still, we have a headhunter class, which has the worst gun in the game, as well as two decent ones. one of which, blue/light one, is actually not bad at all.
for k12 to be on par with autoguns it needs to cost like 4 or 5 ammo units per shot, i think. or something like that. as in, it kills fast and is nice to use, but it has way too much ammo for what it does. at least, compared to autoguns.

Couple guys of my premade lists always bring it up every match. Since audio cues are a large part of early threat detection it can be a friction point.
Stamina regen or block efficiency?
I say block efficiency. Taking attacks in quick succession can leave you dead or nearly so. Base block efficiency isn't strong. If you get backed into a corner, it's a situation rife with taking a flurry of attacks at once. It's going to give you better odds in those make or break moments. Just be sure to engage in fights with full stamina and manage it well with dodging.
It probably isn't a big deal for classes like Ogryn though since he staggers pretty much everything with pushing. So stamina regen probably makes more sense for Ogryn.
And his bull rush is an easy way to break out of being cornered.

any block negates all his damage, however he also has an aura that corrupts everyone around up to a certain cap, around half of your health.
It also reduces damage to zealots by 100% iirc
The zealot’s modifier is “0”. Whether or not that means “reduces damage to zero”, I suspect has not been tested

No but the raw distance is still helpful

i don't think it will be awful. As long as you are comfy with the knife being your go to for heavier armor. Lacerate does do well even against a Bulwark since it will apply bleed right through it
I would may consider a higher mobility option but if you are looking for high speed nyoomin' this should be pretty fun to run with while still giving a bit more accuracy than a shredder auto pistol
I would also suggest going Zealot too if that's the playstyle you are craving. That same knife there makes a beeeeeaaautiful crit bleed build
I pretty much have to play my vet like zealot since inventory isn't shared. I normally run a shredder, revolver, braced or shotty. Use my focus fire to regain toughness
And my zealot has an entire collection of 375+ bolters 😦

Ive got a nice powersword with +4 rending and max slaughterer with 20% maniace and 25% unyielding. Im running my own stamina regen and sprint efficiency deadshot bolter build. Not sure what to reroll on the perks
ticks corruption, more corruption the faster you move (ie: sliding/sprinting), and enables him to eat you when he grabs
Revolver isn't bad to give you a bit more armor piercing to round things out. Sorry that you aren't getting a Bolter tho since I def feel that's what you're gunnin' for

I just picked up a Kantreal MK XII Lasgun and those are pretty good even on my zealot letting me pop heads with a blank check for ammo capacity

Yeah my biggest motivator is honestly looking at all the goofy inner workings
I am actually working on making a short for that because I see a lot of people not do it! But the key is just to sprint + crouch. Even without stamina you'll perform a slide
Also try to really try to get the timing to limit the "sprint" portion as much as possible. The less sprinting you use to get the slide, the more you have available to do lil pooshes

default is space I know, and I think the default also prevents forward slide

Same time but you can let up on Sprint as soon as you slide
Letting up on sprint will save you an ounce of stamina but it'll do in a pinch
