The combat blade has either higher innate crit rate or attacks so fast it doesnt matter as i was able to keep almost 100 percent uptime of the zealots level 5 talent that activates on crit with zero crit related perks

Anyone but veteran tends to ditch the bolter. Vet gets some nice feats to stabilize. I haven't had any difficulty pulling off long shots from a crouched position.

Bio-optics doesn't really work out well for me, unless Im in a multi-vet team. Situational.
Demolition Team is worded wrong. Its after 20 elite kills you get a grenade from what people were saying. That.... sucks.
Covering Fire- 10% toughness for allies in melee range is what I use. Its nice for helping out with horde clearing with lasgun.

Hi all, just wondering if there's a way I can get my weapon power up, without using the forge. I'm a level 30 Vet, my highest scoring weapon is a purple Tactical Axe with 427 power, but all shop scores are <390 95% of the time

Bullgryn is an easy pick, give ogryn an alternate slab shield that pairs with the gauntlet, a smaller shield and some aggro related skill. Id assume its base skills would include a block related skill

you can hit 100% just dont try to push it past that, you can hit the wep special ability to start the venting process quicker before you switch to melee if you got the time. Also I beleive the only one that has the mechanic is the plasma gun.

Alrite, so what I figured, guide for guns for snoiper:
- Standard lasgun - good snoiper waepon. Nuff said
- Standard assault rifle - here and there, surprisingly ammo efficient
- Charged lasgun - perfect snoiper weapon
- Revolver - near perfect snoiper weapon, but reload sucks
- DMR assault rifle - very good snoiper
- Laser pistol/SMG - if you wanna torture yourself
- Automatic laser - very good weapon. Both for headshots and for clearing hordes
- Braced autogun (SAW) - very good snoiper weapon, spray is very tight in special mode
- Bolter - if you have the patience to wait 1 second between shots to regain control of the weapon - very good snoiper
- Plasma. Absolutely insanely perfect snoiper weapon. Cuts through the trash and allows you to deliver those long range pain inducing shots even when enemy is behind the horde of the trash. Reload is slow, heat is a pain, but you gotta pay for the piercing death plasma beam.

Plasma gun under perfect condition can clear a corridor of trash in one non-charged shot

Gray items cap at 400 as far as I understand, and then the different rarities push past that. Someone earlier did the math and said the max possible is 560, but you don't 'need' it to be maxed out to be a good weapon.
I prefer flames over lightning too, it just looks much cooler

and since Nurgles corruption has already gotten out of hand, the death guard see it as a victory

Basically if you wanna be legit, you gotta keep everything at bay for the entirety of the mission, cause if just one thing melees you, you take 1hp, which voids the challenge
eh, just looked up their tabletop stats, they are indeed stronger than a marine, but weaker in forms of attacks
yeah i have been trying the challenge since i was lvl 14 and i am 30 now because my passive perception is 0
space marines are tactical, strong, and never really come just by themselves unless it's a really strong marine

an ogryn is equivalent to a space marine in strength, but space marines being smarter is what makes them better
Their corruption being nurgle based certianly supports seeing a similarity to a death guard plague marine and a poxwalker. And in terms of theme they are similar as well. Alot of nurgle related models mix themes of life and death into them. Plague marines are described as looking like bloated corpses, so while definitely dead looking arent zombies like poxwalkers are. Poxwalkers are humans infected by a very specific disease while death guard house a plethora of illnesses in them as they are the chosen mortals of their god. In fact the disease that makes poxwalkers was invented by a death guard marine named typhus

the 1st push just staggers enemies, the second can actually make them slip, even maulers and ragers. Plus, with the feat that increases your dmg on power weapons based on peril, it also helps you to deal with them

I feel as tho darktide is a much more coop feeling game. In the sense that i could play vermintide practically solo at times but here i feel like that would be harder

but when things go bad, the disabler timings suck
and when you don't have the safety net of a team it's annoying as piss to get grabbed by something you knew you should've dodged
If you check your penances you can look look at what types of missions you haven't completed
I had a vet get shot vy a trapper as we all jumped down a hole. So they were just stuck alone in a place we could no longer reach lol

Ok, so I've gathered that suppression is a bit iffy and usually doesn't actually work (on enemies, they suppress us just fine).
But now I just got a flame staff that says "suppress enemies within 5 meters on kill", and that suppresses just about anything that can be suppressed. Without killing anything.
What am I seeing here? Does the staff actually have godlike suppression, or does it work because I did, some uncounted minutes in the past, actually kill something in CQC, or is the "on kill" trigger simply always on or a faulty description?

Oddly, lore says theese guys aren't really aggressive unless you piss one off. They speak to you like a good grandpa would, in a good tone and gentle manner, and surprsingly able to compromise unlike other demons. so i just crafted this and i'm very happy with it, but testing the staff some more in the meatgrinder i noticed it does significantly more damage against armoured enemies compared to unarmoured ones, so i'm thinking about replacing the traits with bonuses vs armored guys to really amp up the damage on them. even with the current traits it out-dpses the brain burst against them. thoughts?

basically a chain lightning, it stuns enemies for a moment, and does decent-ish damage (MUCH more vs armoured targets)

surge is like force lighting, it zaps 3-4 enemies in front of you stunning with a small dot and then a larger damage finisher
i was a little shocked testing it more in depth comparing the damage difference between a mauler and a dog/mutant for example. i found out the surge staff has very poor damage on dogs and muties, although it does stun them which is really nice. but on maulers, and other armoured types the damage output is legit

How effective are ogryn guns melee alternate attacks? So far ive only used the kickback and its bash seems super good compared to the bashes and bayonet strikes ive used on weapons from other classes.

I only used the kickback on hordes tbf, it has some good stagger values and so even if the pox walkers werent dying very fast its not like they were able to ever get up and swing at me either
As a vet I rely on ogryn to deal with large swarms and provide a shield (from melee rushes and as cover as needed)
If an ogryn was a range build I would be curious what role it would fill instead of the aforementioned critical areas.
Ogryns stagger in this game in general feels super strong. In vermintide kruber had a stagger based class but it was sorta lame as in higher difficulties you didnt really reach any useful stagger thresholds on him and shield weapons that liked the skill werent very amazing

Suppression is still pretty janky though. I had my Heavy Stubber kept firing on a group of ranged enemies and about two of them (out in the open) still aimed and shot at me.

I think due to how chip damage works healing in this game is generally weaker as a mechanic then in vermintide. Perhaps tho it would be better to instrad focus on wound related and down related abilities for a medic. No healing but faster rezzes and negating wounds would still feel like a medic without even giving them a single heal

This is one of the big gripes on Reddit - the UI being janky and weapons stats not being deliberate\tooltips. The answer provided by devs is that its a amalamation of alot of different stats and calculations so the bar is more "descriptive"

The basic Lasgun is great, the Hotshot/Auto Lasgun is also awesome, the Bolter is fucking amazing and I love the Stubber Revolver.

I also think the Plasma Rifle is cool, and basically any of the stubber rifles are also pretty fun.

For comparison, I was a hard X12 guy. Then I tried bolter and realized I could pull long 1/2 shots on most specialists to elites.
Use it like a XII with 3 ring burst at heads and it works pretty well.

It does the same thing as X12 but has the armor penetration lasguns lack... for now, hopefully it gets reworked a bit.

I think im just getting really tired of this game already, I've tried dozens of guns and have no clue what im getting cause the stats dont tell me anything, theres no 'try before you buy', theres no 'default gun' for each slot that you can craft in a forge or use in the training room to try stuff out
