White specs in water tank GCP

Hey, recently I've been gettingthese white specs in my water tank for my Gaggia Classic Pro. I try to clean the water tank out every week, and this picture is from like 5 days after I last cleaned out the tank.

Details on my usage:
-I make roughly 2 doubleshots a day
-I did a cafiza wash about 2 weeks ago
-I descaled it little less than a month ago at this point
-The water seemed clean the last couple days, and suddenly appeared today
-Water tank cleaned out & dried every week

The above leads me to believe it's not the bacteria buildup that usually happens.

That's definitely scale. What kind of water are you using?

Sometimes, this can just be residual scale that flakes off after descaling, coming from the OPV. The best fix will be descaling one last time and then switching to scale-free water

If it's really chunked up in there, you may wanna take the machine apart and give it a solid soak and scrub to get the larger chunks out.

I'll try another descaling before I take it apart, thanks! I used to use tap, nowadays I use Brita filtered water

But maybe the year+ of tap did some work

I didn't know it could make its way back into the water tank though, that's interesting!

Brita filter might still be pretty hard if the tap is bad enough!
