Glitch tends to go for more development and unique processing than leaves. I rather enjoy it on spro.

That’s not to say it’s too dark for filter though. It’s more of an omniroast(even though I hate that term)

Some people affectionately or not so affectionately call glitch coal. But I find it pretty balanced sweetness and acidity wise

Decent says they invented dimples, which give a more even rain over the coffee grounds for filter 3, and Freckles is purposely uneven to account for pucks that can be unevenly extracted, so it sends the water where it's needed to counteract that.

I know. I still went with dimples because I’m not as fastidious about maintenance at home and I use my xbloom for filter. It’s doing a great job on espresso. I was mostly experimenting and added the comment as a number of folks here recently did a group buy for the dimples and freckles screens 🙂

If you haven’t completely planned your stay I’d suggest taking the train to Kyoto for a few days. It’s not a lengthy ride and my toddler loved the temples and parks within the areas. Locals were also a lot more pleasant towards kids.

I got two bags of Leaves in my Kurasu sub and I can’t get over how distinct their beans are in mouth feel and aroma

So at the start of August I cleaned up my Decent and espresso station. I made room for the Z1 too. I wanted to start anew when the grinder came in! I thought it would be here by the time I came back from the work trip

So I’ve been on the pour over game since July 28th or so

Decent has been hibernating
