Hello! My wife and I just got a Breville Barista Pro as our first machine and are having some difficulty with it. When pouring a double shot into two glasses, the resulting shots are uneven. We took off the portafilter, ran a purge and saw a stream of water in the right side rather than drips. A video is attached. Has anyone else seen this and found a workaround?

get a level and make sure hte machine is on a level surface. If you split after pull this won't matter, but if you want semi even shots out of a dual spouted PF, then levelness is the name of the game

Bear in mind, even once you level the machine, you may not get even shots. unless your puck prep is perfect and you arent having any significant density issues in your puck, there will be variance. Hard to say if your variance is normal or higher than normal since I dont have the weights. let us know if levelling gets it within whatever range you were hoping for

To clarify on why I suggest leveling:

Spouted portafilters don't care about evenness of the shot for distributing across the fork. They care about levelness of the fork. Otherwise gravity and the path of least resistance will put much more coffee down one fork
