now to be a bit more detailed you have different trained models/neural networks (the terms are confusing me) which are made for different tasks

some models will seperate the vocals and leave you... well... the vocals and the instrumental

other models seperate each instruments, the big majority are 4-instruments models, being bass/drums/vocals/other (basically whats left out)

you also got models for karaoke, so seperate different speakers etc....

the big focus right now is on vocal/instrumental seperation, so theres fewer models for 4 instruments seperation, and even less for 6 instruments (needed to seperate the guitar)

I have to point out this is not generative ai like chatgpt or grok or whatever

this is good AI, its objectively better than hard-coded algorithms

limiting factors are how well the models are trained and the data they are being trained on, once again the 4/6 instruments models are quite behind so they sound muddy, or the seperation is just bad
