I've been trying to install files on a work PC and I get the following error that I'm not able to resolve In the attached image. I did attempt to download all of the needed files from http://store.rg-adguard.net To do the manual install, but when I got to installing the actual files file, that is when I get this error.

Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately there isn't much to do if it's blocked by your work policy. Is this a work device?
Yes, it is a work device. I was just curious, I guess, if there was somewhere in the policies that I can modify or in the registry, I could temporarily modify to allow it to install.
I'm pretty sure it's just in the result of blocking the Microsoft Store in general as why I assume it won't install.
Your admin would have to enable installing packaged apps
I guess is it possible to install it as far as you know if I were to build it from source?
Does that bypass the whole packaged apps installation permission?
Visual Studios still has to install with admin permission. You should ask your IT team to install Files as your on a work system and they have disable installing programs on purpose.
It might
Well, that's the interesting part is because we're allowed to install basically any software we want so long as the antivirus doesn't stop it, but this doesn't seem like an antivirus stopping the execution.
Do you have access to the system registry?
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Appx
If you do, you can try setting AllowAllTrustedApps to 1
Yes, I do have access to making registry edits. I'll go ahead and give that a try.
I don't know why I came out so blurry, but these are the options that I have in that location. Are you saying I want to create that string word and set it to one?
I haven't tested but it's worth a try
