#is it worth it to have a 2nd phone

i'd buy a base iphone 12 or something close to it as a backup.
make sure to get something pretty cheap, maybe like a galaxy A05s (it's horribly laggy, and a bit more expensive then something like a used iphone 11)
i have an a10
If you have a Galaxy A10 then I’d suppose you gen get an iPhone 16e/17e as your new main phone and promote the A10 to your backup
my a10 is backup
iphone 17pm is main phone
Honestly if possible I’d always suggest having some backup to fall back to in the event your main gets stolen/lost/broken
yeah, i want to convince my mum to get applecare for me
in case its lost
but my mum says the price for apple care
is the same as buying new phone
idk how to convince her
as with applecare
i can just get a replacemen
when lost
Send her these:
https://www.apple.com/applecare/
https://agreementsales.apple.com/
ok, the problem is she doesnt speak english good
so she might have a hard time understanding it
do u have it in arabic?
there is an arabic version
ok
what dialect of arabic does your mother speak?
mesopotamian
but she underatands most dialect
click on the link and at the top of the page you'll see a selection where you can choose a different language
ok i see
i told her before about applecare
and she said that the iphone already comes with 1 year warranty
so she said whats point of applecare
when already warranty
she seems to not know the benefits of apple care
yes
she isnt tech savy
so she doesnt really know what it is
hmm i'd try explaining to her what apple care does yourself
wait
what if i got 3rd party phone insurance
is it cheaper and better
or nah?
nope
how come?
apple care is just simply better
i see
Hello! You can have a secondary Sim on iPhone but eSIM, not a physical one. Also you can buy an Apple Watch instead and pair it with your iPhone, so you can track it from there!
what if ones carrier doesnt support esim
All Big carriers in 2026 support eSIM
If allowed, tell me what’s ur carrier and I’ll tell you
people live in different countries
my carrier is
EE in UK
It perfectly supports eSIM
ah really?
what if i wanted to delete an esim
and add another sim
U can contact ur carrier and perfectly do that
alr
thats just harder
than just removing sim
and adding it back
Yeah
if thats the galaxy a10 burn that shit it called emergency 2 times by itself while i was at school
a galaxy a70 is dirt cheap get that
way better than that laggy shit
i absolutely agree with you opinion, but it depends on the use he uses the phone for. for example, if its only for passwords and some work calls then the a10 is solid
