Just picked up a m5 MacBook Air yesterday and going through the setup process right now. When trying to setup iPhone mirroring, the MacBook Air shows a message saying “unable to connect to iPhone”.

I’ve checked to make sure both devices are current on updates, both have WiFi and Bluetooth enabled, both are on the same network and both have the same user id logged in.

When I go to the widgets area of the system settings in the MacBook Air, I do not see a dropdown to select my iPhone. What else am I missing with this?

Are the two devices on the same Apple Account? Do you have Handoff enabled on both devices?

Yep, not sure what happened or what, but just resigned out of my account on the MacBook and back into it, now it’s working. Not sure what happened.
