Personally, I do the iCloud based method during setup.

@lilac ice I want wanna jump in and say use phone to phone if you have atleast 1 hour or more.
Recenlty moved form iPhone 15 pro to 17 Pro. Took me 2 hours. For some reason the ios26 is bit buggy when moving from iPhone to iPhone.

Make sure you are not on sleep mode or DND when moving. I can help if you neeed

I want to pop in and say something there also Is another method If you have a Mac I backup my phone using my Mac and then I just get the new phone and plug in the new phone to my Mac and then store that backup I made of my old phone and it’s a lot faster than phone to phone transfer cause it goes through a cable instead of WiFi

that's exactly what I had to do when I upgraded (I got my 17 Pro day one and was camping with poor service at the time) aaaand I don't recommend it lol
