#

could be the way you took the photo possibly for it to show like that

#

Looks fine to me - this wasn’t worth cross posting like that though.

#

Looks the same as my 15 Pro

Yep every iPhone has that gap

#

Yes, why are you so worried about your phone?

wary wadi
#

Not sure about the lifting

toxic eagle
#

Is it acting funky?

wary wadi
#

You said it was lifting

#

I thought

Then why are you so worried about it. Just use your phone… Everything looks normal

wary wadi
#

Then it’s fine

#

Prob iOS 26

toxic eagle
#

How long have you had it?

#

It can take a few weeks to finish indexing and doing stuff so yeah, give it time.

#

6 h is normal

#

On a older phone like this

toxic eagle
#

That’s normal if you have less than “perfect” cell signal (full bars and 5G)

#

Not necessarily

#

Previous person probably gamed on it which is hard on batteries

Also be sure you’re running either 18.7.1 or 26.0.1.

# wary wadi iOS 18.7.1

That’s an option but iOS 18 is only viable for another 2 months before it gets unsupported once 26.2 comes out.

Then it is fine. You are overthinking it. If you are super worried schedule a Genius Bar appointment and take it to the Apple Store.

Don’t trust people online. We only get a few pictures and can’t make a good judgement. Take it to an Apple Store - you will have to if it is indeed opened or something anyway.

#

Is it under warranty

what’s you’re battery health at?

#

when was the battery manufactured and first used?

#

and do you have apple care?

#

curious if the battery may be swelling at all (it probably isn’t)

or if it’s a frame/assembly issue

#

if it’s a defect or lemon, you might be able to claim consumer law even if your warranty is expired, although this depends on your region and the specifics of your situation

#

in which case Apple should be required to repair or replace the device for free regardless of what the warranty says

#

assuming you’re in New Zealand(?) it looks like the closest parallel would be the Consumer Guarantees Act

#

but I could be completely wrong, so if anyone else is here, please fact check me kekw

#

if you bought the device from a private seller, then your options might be more limited
