According to Apple, the ultra wide camera on iPhone 16 Pro is 48MP. This doesn’t appear to be the case. I have tested in every format and enabled RAW. But regardless of settings, when using ultra wide (which I assume is the 0.5x lens) the saved photo is always 12MP. I can only get the full 48MP on the 1x lens (and this is only if night mode, live and flash are all disabled). What am I missing?
#iPhone 16 Pro Ultra Wide is seemingly not 48MP

What OS version are you using?
Do you have the "Pro Raw & Resolution Control" enabled? Also, in order for your 16 Pro to shoot in full 48MP, you have to use the HEIF Max or ProRAW Max format. Once this is on, when you go to the camera app and are under the Ultra-wide or main sensor and you enable the format in the top right, then it will shoot in full 48MP.
