Guys, i have airpods pro 1st gen, that have stopped working, UNLESS they're plugged.
If not, theyre dead as paper weight. Once i plug them in, i can take out the pods and use em till they die like normally. Anyone know whats the issue? Im guessing its the battery of case that's not holding charge. Any cheap or free fix or something?

It does sound like the Airpod Case isn't holding a charge within, so free fix would maybe in cleaning the inside of the charging point for dust and any thing that could get stuck. If you have had them for a longer time, I would suggest getting a new pair.
These are the Airpods 4 Which is latest and cheap that comes with Noise Cancellation:

If you did the cleaning I would try to reset your airpods using this method from apple:

Finally I have found this Support Ticket in their forums that has been answered:

I tried it all, nothing worked. Im guessing its the case battery problem then. Thanks for the help btw. I had these for about 2 years and some months.
