#How to make sure battery health is reliable?

Hello hope you're having a good day.

Long story short bought a refurbed 13 Pro with 90% Battery life ... However i'm a bit sceptical as to if the battery life is real...

For example when i left the phone at 00:00 yesterday and i woke up at 9:30 today to check it. it lost 8% battery idling.. ( Not sure if that's a good or a bad thing, i'm a first time iPhone user so there might be some settings and actions which i have enabled and i dont have optimal battery life )

Also i've noticed that the battery sometime drops all at once for example i might have 40% for 1 hour and then suddenly it goes to 35%

Is there any way i can reliably see if the battery i have is authentic or if it has been "injected" somehow to show a false battery life? So far i've found this.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eySs2eHM7GE
Which says i have 75% battery life.

Thank you for your time

From a local store in my country sadly the 30 day return policy has been gone

From the question i expect the news are not good right ?

So you set it up more than 30 days ago?

#

Yep

#

Do iphones also have this " grace " period for battery adjustments after resetting the phone?

red imp
#

Kinda, I guess

#

For up to a week after you first set it up, it will index the phone

#

And it can affect battery life and performance

#

But if you set it up over a week ago, then that’s not the issue

#

So odd question, did you reset the phone yourself or did the seller or previous owner reset the phone for you?

Seller did, i have no idea how to reset an iphone tbh

Ok I would recommend resetting the phone yourself to make sure they didn’t jailbreak it to change the battery thing or something (I highly doubt they did tbh)

#

90% does sound kinda correct for your scenario tho

#

Oh and to reset the phone it’s Settings > General > Reset (all the way at the bottom) > and then some more self explanatory buttons to reset it

#

If you don’t wanna it’s fine, I don’t think they spoofed it

Ok i will give it a shot sicne 90% of the apps i have are on my ipad as well so setting up again will be a breeze
