I have a 2017 MacBook Air ~ I’ve done the OCLP process before in the past and went smooth. I currently have the usb created and am stuck on installing it to the usb then to the Mac. It seems to loop, I’ll attach some pictures soon.

I erased the disk then tried installing to Macintosh HD it might be working…

Usually when I try updating macOS 50/50 the usb doesn't work with some error code

Only workaround is either wiping usb drive, re attempting or new usb drive

Ok, so go through the usual process of installing, but when it restarts for the second time, hold Option and send a picture after it pulls up the boot picker

So I recreated the installer and everything held option booted selected AFI boat then install macOS didn’t want to macOS recovery. I wiped the computer then I went to install macOS. It showed the installing part in macOS recovery didn’t rebooted went to a black screen Apple logo progress bar and said like 26 minutes then it went back to install macOS Sonoma and Macintosh HD it selected Macintosh HD and then it just keeps looping. It doesn’t ever let go to the set up screen.

It literally rebooted like 8 times so something wasn’t right but hey if it took 8 reboots to work then wooohooo 🥳

Surprisingly it’s quite snappy I thought it would be slower but it’s pretty good
