Have you tried testing the silent switch? If it vibrates, then the phone is likely working, but the screen is dead.

If nothing happens, try making sure your phone is charged

How do I do that? When I try to turn it on all o see is the apple logo

No charger connected, so on battery power. If the Apple logo appears on battery power, chances are you need to connect the phone to a computer and restore it

Do you have a Mac or Windows computer? Your phone may need to be restored.

If not, you may need to ask a friend.

Just remember, the iPhone 12 may still be linked to your Apple Account, so if you want to sell it or give it away, you will need to unlink the phone from your Apple Account.
