so my macbook 2.3 quad-core intel core i7
can ran the sims perfectly fine full screen but when i try to run minecraft its lags likes crazy

Minecraft is naturally a heavier game

may slow down older Mac models

but there’s like videos of people running it in my type of model and it’s running perfectly fine

The Sims is actually less intensive than Minecraft. If you want to play MC, you're better off getting something more powerful.

You could try launching it through Lunar Client, it's known to do a lot of optimizations to make Minecraft run better

Try removing and disabling startup items

It’s somewhere in settings, like login items or something

so it worked but for like a few minutes and then crashed

i was running 1.8

but i wish i could afford to get a gaming pc it less
