I forgot my Mac password and wanted to change it, but I can't enter an iCloud password and my phone's iCloud settings still show that my Mac is still connected to my iCloud account. I tried restarting my Mac, but it doesn't work.
Can I exit the recovery assistant?

if you restart your computer you will exit recovery
to recover the password with your icloud password, click the small question mark next to the passwords field when your first boot up your mac
