Is there a way to automatically turn on/off location services?

I’m attempting to set up an automation, for instance, if I open the Maps app, the location service would automatically turn on. Conversely, when I close the Maps app, it would automatically turn off the location service.

There is no automation nor action to do that, sorry.

Main reason: I want to save battery 🥲 however, that still requires the location service to stay turned on.

It’ll use the location only when you use the app, and less than a minute later it’ll turn off

Disabling location service isn’t going to save much power if any. The GPS receiver etc is still powered up.

And automation to toggle this is not available for security reasons
