I recently got Airpod Max and was wondering if I should use the USB C cord provided or if there would be any downsides to using a Nintendo Switch USB to USB C cord instead (it fits my desk set up better)

You can use any USB-C cord that supports charging

All USB-C cords are not the same - as a result, if the cord you’re using does not support the same power options NT hat the original did, then you could experience slower charging than expected.
If this is the case, you can buy a longer cable that is designed to support both types of devices.
