I am trying to set up my brand new iPhone 16. I get to the lock screen and I swipe up where usually you would enter your passcode to enter your phone. I then swipe up and only for a split second I see the numbers one through zero and then the screen goes away. My problem is not fixedby force restarting my phone, I can't even restart my phone normally because it does the same thing as when I tried to open the passcode screen.

@drowsy obsidian You’ll wanna enter recovery mode
First, turn the device fully off by quickly volume up volume down press and hold power until apple logo
Second, do the same thing to turn it on, but keep holding power until it enters recovery mode

That's called a force restart
My phone does not power off and stay off
It doesthe same thing like they passcode screen shows for a split second then disappears and restarts my phone in like 1 second

It’s the same steps but you keep holding the power button even after the Apple logo appears. This will show a screen that tells you to connect your phone to a computer where you can wipe the data and start over again
