I can't connect to FaceTime software on my iPad Air 5

I am trying to call my friend through FaceTime on my iPad but I can't deliver messages, call or recieve calls from anyone, even though I have WiFi connectivity and I can use the Internet just fine. Can someone please help me?

For FaceTime, you may need to enable "Wi-Fi Calling"
