PhoneNumVerify Shortcut

PhoneNumVerify shortcut is a shortcut that I made that allows you check if a phone number is valid or not, valid phone numbers are phone numbers that haven’t been reported as a fraudulent number as it uses an API to check the phone number, PhoneNumVerify also lets you view information on an ip address.

  Go to the numverify website, sign up, once you have completed the sign up process, you’d be met with your dashboard where you would see your API access key, copy that, and then run the PhoneNumVerify shortcut as you’ll be prompted to enter your Access Key API

I have some doubts

You’ve set name of the menu items for only the first and the last option … and not others

that doesnt matter though, i found it to be exhausting, as long as the menu items are defined in the list its still gonns work

So u don’t have to name it again… which is why I got confused lol…

Next doubt… you’ve added an if condition after the menu list stating if “data” is 5… what data is that?

I mean what variable is that

thats where it gets exciting, the data part is an identification for each menu items, if you click the drop down of those menu items u would see a data option there, and in some of the menu u would see data is 5 or data is 4 or data is 3, the data is so i know which menu item im gonna be creating an action for

eg lets say i add a menu item and i add a data is 4
and then i add another menu item and i set the data to 3

if i want to add an action for menu item with data 4
id be
if data is 4
(add your action here)

if data is 3
( add your action here)

The data is the selected item variable from the menu item lists

So it’s just for identification like using contact last name from selected items before assigning actions

yeahh cos if you dont identify it, you wont be able to add an action for a menu item

Yeah got it… this menu script doesn’t have that automation where it automatically generates those (dunno what they are called) to add actions under those menu items

😂 i still very much love this though i'd be using this alot more, trust its very easy and theres alot more icon or symbol customisation

Yeah… that’s one pros for it… u can just use the name of the symbols and it will work unlike vCards where u have to manually encode

exactly and thats alot of chore
this is easy, add the menu item, add a number or word to the data in the menu item, then define it with an if statement and add the action for that if statement, its easy

Actually I have made a shortcut that just directly encodes a symbol and copies it to the clipboard

I have been using “choose from list” only

And I’m like where the heck is that script about list that used to let me add items

And I’ve been searching “choose” and saw only “choose from menu” and “choose from list” as only options
