YouTube search bar overlapping with Dynamic Island when video is put down

Friend has the same phone from the same batch but it only happens to me, anyone have any idea as to why this is happening? When I reinstall YouTube it works fine for a while then it starts doing this
Newest version of iOS as well as YouTube, 16 pro max

Would appreciate help on this, it’s been incredibly frustrating

Like turning it off and on? Yes I have, doesn’t get rid of it

You could also try to uninstall YouTube and reinstall it back
Most likely these things are bug that would be fixed in a next OS update

I did try uninstalling it and installing it again

It works normally for a while, then starts the same issue

Might need to wait for a new update from YouTube as it could be an app issue or a software issue that can be fixed with an OS update

And is there an approximation when a new update for the OS might drop?

I can only predict not 100% sure however those once updates are released you can go ahead to update hopefully it fixes the issue you are experiencing OR you could always restore your device as well

Like wipe all of my data?

Not really
You would make a backup but that should be a last resort for now
I would suggest you wait for an OS update

It started happening basically day 1, right out of the box

My phone had all updates out of the box so

I just noticed that this happens whenever you close a video?

And as it was aforementioned, my friend has the same exact phone from quite literally the same exact batch of preorders and they don’t have this issue whatsoever

I mean, I’ve only noticed it on YouTube thus far

Like toggled stuff on or off

Thing is I’ve changed a bit of things in settings that I find the most comfortable for day to day use and most of it has to do with appearance

So I’m not certain as to what could be a cause with this YouTube bug

I recommend sending a message to Apple and telling them about this issue. They’ll most likely figure it out.

As I said, when I uninstall and reinstall the app, it works perfectly - but given 15 or so minutes, it starts doing the same thing

And I’m not seeing a “Share” option when I press and hold on the app
