the performance of the se is going to be better although the XS was a flagship back in 2018

so you're going to get a better screen

a telephoto camera

better battery life (assuming the battery isn't degraded)

and faceID as well

which i prefer over touchID

only thing is the XS isn’t supported anymore

you’ll still get security updates though

just no more OS updates

so it’s kinda up to you

It’s slower than the se 2020, but I would choose the xs over se in my opinion

I would probably choose the SE just because you get an extra year of software support and A13

i personally had and used a xr until 3 weeks ago (and now im using my old 7p) and it was good (still recieves the latest ios updates) so i assume the xs is good too

maybe the xs and se 2 get dropped at the same time, just like the 6s and 7 i have a feeling that this might actually happen

Well if they dropped the SE 2, they would have to drop the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, which frankly does not make much sense considering that those phones are still very popular, I would say the A13 series will have at least iOS 19

the iphone 7 was also very popular, apple just dropped it together with the 6s to force people to upgrade

from a performance standpoint there was no reason to unsupport it, the ipad 10 with the same processor even got ipados 18, apple probably looked at their analytics and thought that if they unsupport the 7 many people will upgrade
