Apple TV or another alternatives?

I'm getting a TV for my bedroom and would like to stream YouTube, Netflix, HBO, etc. It's a non-smart TV, so I was considering getting an Apple TV, but the price seems a bit too high. So should I pay the $129 and get the Apple TV or pay less and get a Chromecast or some kind of another alternative? Thanks!

I would recommend you get another alternative even an Amazon fire stick would suffice
You’d still pay less and enjoy streaming seamlessly

Chromecast has been discontinued (which is a good thing, since it didn’t have enough storage space anyway). We just got 2 of the Google Streamers, but they are pretty unstable, and I’m regretting not getting an Apple TV 4k. Whether your current TV is 4k or not, that’s the current TV standard and is likely to stick around for a long time, so to extend the usabile life, I’d go with that. I’d never get an Amazon Fire - that seems to be a dead-end. Alexa and Fire TV have overall been failures for Amazon, and have limited futures

I really recommend Apple TV if you are planning to implement HomeKit (which if you own your space like for a long term I would really recommend implementing HomeKit and IoT) but other than that if you just want to watch TV I highly suggest you FireStick 4K (it has a Max name somewhere there) or Nvidia Shield is very good too if which costs money than you can check Roku. I have use all of them Firestick, Roku, Chromecast, Apple TV, Smart TV. And I really hate Smart TV and second I hate is Chromecast all other I choose by my needs, budget or availability.

Chromecast is great for carrying in my travel kit and using in hotels to stream off my phone. Their new one the Streamer is kinda like a poor man’s Apple TV clone but less stable.

Never really used Roku. Chromecast is great I think because I don’t need any extra subscriptions etc.

Yes right but I choose because it’s more power efficient than firestick and smaller and has nice performance not too much not too low

I decided I'll go with an alternative, because Apple TV doens't have the app I use to strem Television, while Google TV does. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions!
