What Mac should I buy?

Hello! Currently own a MacBook Pro M2 13" but I will be selling it off to a family member.

I mainly use my mac for uni work and light video editing.

Now that I have to go back to my MacBook Air, I'm considering whether or not should I buy the New MacBook Air M3 or MacBook Pro M3. As I only need the base spec configuration which one will last me longer and considering the price which one would benefit me the most? If you have any advice please consider replying! Thanks

But what about the M3 MBP not the M3 Pro chip one

#

Is it decent or just the same as the MBA M3

Don't recommend that to people, it performs as well as the MBA M3 but costs $400 more

#

0 performance upgrades for $400 extra is criminal.

M3 chip is also an overkill for most light tasks. It will last longer so that would be an incentive to buy it for light tasks, other than that, M2. I use mine for heavy software development, find this chip to be overkill for browsing and stuff.
