#How to clean install macOS Sequoia RC?

Hi guys, can I get some advice on this?

Was on Sonoma yesterday, and I really wanted to reinstall my macOS + update in the weekend because I wouldn't have enough time during the week. I enabled the public beta then downloaded and installed Sequoia RC (24A335). Then went ahead and wiped my data (after backing up critical data beforehand). Now I wanted to do a clean install of macOS Sequoia, but I received the "installation requires downloading important content" error in recovery mode when trying to reinstall.

Further reading made me realize that the RC has not shipped with an installer, and that's why I get the error.

My question is, how can I do a clean reinstall of macOS Sequoia? Is having the installer from Apple the only option?

Can I flash a USB with the installer from Beta 8 (24A5331b), install that, the update to the RC (24A335)?

Hi there
Yes you can flash a USB with the beta 8 installer
Then you would install the beta 8 and then you can install the RC IF YOU please

If the official rollout is planned for monday, does apple not also release the full installer for the RC beforehand?

I only have today to install macOS and reinstall all of my apps, otherwise I would have just waited for tomorrow's release

But I find it really annoying they released the RC but not the full installer for that version
