update to macos public beta?

i installed the new public beta(s) on my iphone and watch, but i’m not so sold on putting it on my mac. i have a m2 mba, so i know it can handle it but i feel like putting a beta on my personal computer kinda scares me. my biggest concern is losing data (yes, i have icloud) any thoughts?

macOS betas are extra risky because restoring to stable is a bit of a process..
I don’t recommend using it on a main machine

will it cause problems with icloud and device syncing with texts and other stuff?

It shouldn’t, but if something else goes wrong with the beta (like it has for many people) you have to restore to Sonoma… which is quite a process
