Hey. I have enough money for the macbook pro but I don't know which is better for school/video editing. I know the pro is better built for it but can I do everything on the air and save money?

School = Air

Video editing in CapCut or similar iPhone workflows (cuts and transitions and putting music and video together = Air

Professional grading and addicting effects like glow/halation/grain etc = Pro

Render time and heating = Pro

Do you believe you need more accessories for your work?
I use the pro and never needed anything more than a thunderbolt and USBC cables for my work

If you use the Pro, you won’t need a hub to connect to external monitors because of the built in HDMI
Same with the SD card port.
But with the air you will usually need to carry a USBC Hub with you

Editing HDR videos is also much better and getting an overview of what the final look is going to be like straight from your MBP as opposed to rendering then airdropping to your phone to see what it looks like, a lot of very subtle things than make a difference in your purchase.
