#New phone or repair?

I have an old iPhone 11 with a smashed screen & an iPhone 14 with no back glass (or back panel at all for that matter)
To get these devices repaired, I've been quotes GBP £176.97 and GBP £671.29 respectively.
The cost isn't exactly an issue, but I'm also debating keeping my current usable phone (iPhone 7 on iOS 15.7.3) until the iPhone 16 series, then buying one of those.

What's the decision here?
Thanks :)

Hey!
Looking at the cost and putting that into USD, repairing the 14 would end up costing you around $855.36, which is almost as much as an entirely new phone. I personally would try to wait it out in this situation, especially since we're not that far, but the main issue arises with how you will be able to handle using your iPhone 7 for the course of 3 months, and possibly waiting even longer if your delivery for a 16 series gets delayed. You could also just get your iPhone 11 repaired at around $224.26, but it's still a pretty steep repair. One alternative route you could take it to repair the iPhone 11 on your own with a cheap replacement until you can get your hands on a new phone. If you do wish to not spend any money, then the iPhone 7 isn't a great route, but will definitely be the most cost effective.
