Getting armory items is already very time consuming. It can go as far as ultra ascending for keys only to get 2 plain kishar staffs; no options or excellent traits. I was thinking of ways to make it a bit easier because it can be a lot less tedious and time-gated by just being able to merge your existing armory items for a price. That way, you can get best in slot items without having to grind for months, literally.

Nah. Dont like it. There needs to be some work/luck involved to get the best gear. Otherwise they lose their value and excitement to get one.

would you not consider ultra ascending for keys with the sole purpose of crafting a chest of staffs work?
and let's say for something like excellent armory upgrades, imagine being able to merge like 10 of the same weapon makes it excellent
because as it is, the only purpose of bad armory items (to me) is scrap and DP.
why not make it exciting and possibly look forward to getting a plain adranos blade for the hopes of one day merging it to become an excellent one with all the cool options?

i'm sure to balance it out, it'd have to be pretty expensive to afford such upgrades with some divinity and scrap. i'd still be willing to take that over being timegated by simurgh feathers
