Going to start with feedback, feel free to disagree.

As someone past advanced divinities, the times where I've had fun with this game has to be at early game, discovering rage mode, the armoury and the village. Essentially at any moment where I saw there was more content to explore, it hyped me up enough to continue grinding my way through to the end. A problem which I face with this game however is that the further I progress through this game, there's less to unlock and the gameplay starts to become repetitive. If there was more upgrades as small milestones towards the larger milestones, I think I would have more to look forward to (whilst keeping the game balanced of course)

Before I move on to the interesting concept I've thought about, let me share some ideas I've thought about in the past:

  • Bonus Stage 4 (Posted this before months ago but it's nice to bring this idea back)

  • 2 new dimensions, one for the sake of higher soul gain (to give the player a sense of progression) as a step up from Funky Space, another dimension just to add variety and new enemies so there's more dimensions to unlock after Ultra Ascending other than just the desert and Funky Space

  • More village content. I know Mt Otto is having more content (seeing it turn into a second village is pretty cool), but the village part is easily one of my favourite parts of the game and I would love to see more

Now for the concept I thought up about:

Rage mode is one of my favourite mechanics in the game, I love seeing it become more effective as I'm progressing towards being fully caught up with this games updates. I was thinking that it would be an awesome idea to make an upgrade that makes rage mode and it's effects permanent.

Hear me out, it doesn't mean you are stuck forever in the rage mode animation, that would honestly be quite annoying. What I'm suggesting is that the rage mode stat boosts becomes permanent (at some point after you start investing into the Stone of Rage) and you're able to play normally with rage mode benefits, and the purple aura you get from dashing is now replaced with the red aura from rage mode.

Which leads into the question, what will become of the rage mode button? Well, it will leave, but not permanently. You would later (after spending time with the rage mode stats being permanent) have access to a much stronger rage mode, let's call it berserk state, acting as what rage mode was before. The player would basically achieve rage mode, gradually master it until the effects are permanent and then achieve Berserk State

It's also worth considering that these upgrades would give massive soul gain I'm aware, but that can be fixed with more expensive upgrades to look forward to, e.g there's a batch of expensive ascension/ultra ascension upgrades, to progress you need to make the rage mode permanent, and then same goes for Beserk State.

with badge boost armory is pretty much a given with bs3 already, i don't think its necessary to raise armory chance

Funny enough the main idea came from recently going through Dragon Ball And DBZ, how you keep powering up and reaching new forms stronger than the last

So instead of having rage mode kill quests there would be instead a berserk mode kill quest upon unlocking it

Meaning any rage mode quests would be easier to clear once you get the upgrade to make it permanent
