Talking about this post, I kinda don't get the ascend giants and mimic part

They mean that by slaying a giant you get a chance to get a character that reminds that giant, or maybe if you get enough kills in bisteary? They didnt give the way to get it

I guess they can't all work for characters so some more alt colours and outfits would be nice!

Working on outfit is not very far from working on character

Easy idea for an alt colour though is Beer Azure, just keep drinking beers at the Tavern as it and it'll eventually turn
