Sorry if this has already been asked, but I was wondering if the base version of Victor could be nerfed a little. Maybe I’m stupid, but I can’t seem to beat him and I’ve tried 50 times. Maybe I don’t have the right ascensions on, but I just can’t do this. I’m now being blocked because I have the golden barrel quest unlocked, but can’t move forward. #victor#feedback. Love your game!!!

What strategy are you using when fighting him?

Strategy? I’m trying to hit him either the sword, but my bow is defaulted first, I’ve tried getting as close to him as possible, but my damage is too weak (level 4+) I have turned my dark divinity on that makes my arrows be more focused and have them aimed where my curser is. The problem is my booster isn’t filling up fast enough.

I would try forgetting you have a bow and focus only on sword

If you watch his hands you'll see what kind of attack he will do in second phase

Is there a way to turn off the bow. Or should I prestige?

For the attack he shoots at you it's good to remember he shoots where you are so if you never jump until it's coming at you it will always shoot on ground level

I'm just saying to forget bow to focus on dodging to get closer to hit with sword as that's the main damage

Same exact thing just focus sword and instead of watching yourself only look at him

He will change hands depending on which attack he's going to use and then you can use that to know when to dodge

Every time I charge I get destroyed. Chalk up another 10 losses. I just want to pay to win at this point.

wait until he actually attacks to jump

If you're on the ground, that's where his attack goes too.
Both projectiles travel at the same speed so you won't care which move he's doing any more.

Pay attention to victor rather than your own character. He has distinct animations and gives you enough time to jump either of his attacks. I cant remember the last time ive lost to victor alpha after knowing that tip

Ngl I’m kinda surprised no one just came in here to say skill issue and leave. It feels refreshing.

Also for victor I try and use the audio cues to time my jumps. And hold the jump for a full hop over the attack.

I try to have my audio muted at times but for longer sessions it gets boring without the music

I know it’s my fault I can’t defeat him, but it’s just so frustrating not to be able to defeat him. Especially since every time you are defeated you have to go solve a puzzle. I just want to move on, but I can’t because I can’t unlock the new levels. All I want to do is defeat the golden barrels, but can’t do it unless I defeat Victor. I’m just too stupid for this basic task.

So I’m an idiot. The change in music worked after I turned my phone from silence mode.

Next question. How do I get golden barrels?
