this would make getting perfect chests and boots soooooooooo much easier that it won't be a thing. maybe if it was -1 mimic
Even -1 mimic makes perfect chest hunts so much easier

The chance for a perfect is 1% towards endgame
There is an achivement for 1000 total
Even with mid lzck you'll have both 1000 ch and 5 perfects at the same time
pretty much, yea. though I could see this with -2 mimics if there were no savers
I think too that it could also remove the savers (including the crystal ones)
Agreed, that would be too easy. theres already a good chance to slay 3 mimics and only fail at the fourth one with like killing one in first or second try and then double the saver. IF anything then maybe just have a slightly higher chance to fish up a mimic in the first chest, like 10% that the chest you click first switches place with a mimic if there is none yet
Or what about something like : there is only one mimic but all chest hunts upgrade are disabled
Would make chest but way weaker, and the one mimic would need to be the single last to be found or else you would lose since there would be no saver
Would also remove special rewards like armory chest
It would make this mode only useful (and weak at it) to get perfect runs
removing armoury chests from the equation makes that an insta "no" from me

A dark divinity is a traidoff you lose some you win some
If you need armory chest more than the permanent upgrade you should not use it
But if you think otherwise that a great deal
The impactful tradeoff is the goal
a dark div that only has a use for one (1) day of gameplay to get the perfect hunt rewards feels completely useless
if you remove all upgrades, even ah would give you more souls
If you think you can choose correctly the chest (that a luck of 1/the number of chest) in one day you are very lucky

That would be useless since you get almost no souls by hunt
there is really 2 good things from perfect hunt: souls and soon melee dmg. and you get them all, usually, by the time you get the 1000 achievement if you follow the perfect hunt strat

divs are meant to have some sort of usefulness over time. that is only useful for a bit and you'll never activate it again
that's an average of 2 hours and 34 minutes per perfect chest hunt.
You're guaranteed 1 permanent item to spawn when you get a pch, with more than that being able to spawn.
Lets just say only 1 item spawns each pch, and you have zero of them already. 1/3 chance statistically to get the upgrade if you choose the same slot each time (lets say the left most pch chest).
That's 7 hours and 12 minutes per pch reward. With those numbers, which keep in mind are assuming only 1 pch item ever spawns across every pch, you would get 3 items in less than a day on average

I see your point but most players will not be so focused this single objective + I think that if someone is ready to surrender all the potential earnings of the hunt while farming it for a full day they should be rewarded
extintion should have a counterpart, ngl. like more coins spawning
could have it where gemstone extinction lets you have back the previously removed bigger coin patterns upgrade while it is activated
thing is that the ph rewards are not good enough create a whole new future that will be only used for a short amount of time. the only one that might help, depending on how new rage is, is melee dmg
that would give it a purpose for completing quests even after you got gem buyer

though survival might be needed. we will see if there is a new giant
tbh it should be both small enemies and giant damage
survival bow is shit. it should be more dmg and maybe 0,5 extra dmg to bosses
eh, not really. We can already kill charged yetis in less than 12 hits, and if you level up an axe at all I doubt any new giant evolutions would be able to survive
I mean for rage. I've not done the calcs, but I remember reading from someone that might have done them properly that we will be able to kill charged yeti, but if the new giant becomes meta, Idk
There won't be a new giant, just a new giant evolution, since every dimension already has a giant
