Animcurve-based movement between cells, bobbing up and down.
Squash & stretch, some overshoot, springs.

I had hopping between cells programmed manually whoops
In terms of SFX, would y’all reckon that a simple whoosh would get the point across? I don’t want to go too cartoonish here
