#How to not get burned out

Well, I'm not really into animation (had to do it few times for game-jams and some commercials, but that's all), but I am an artist and I can relate.
I have been there many times and tips that helped me not to get burned out are those
If you can, work on what you love!
Forcing yourself to do work just won't do it, it will burn you out for sure.
Don't stop working when you feel bad about it and are already burned out. Instead, make breaks when you are having fun and enjoying.
If you stop while in bad mood or burned out, you will associate your work (drawing or animating) with bad feelings.
Instead, if you stop and take a bream while it's still fun and gooing good, it will push your brain to want more of it. This will also make you think more creative and get more excited about your work.
This tip actually made me forget about art blocks and burnouts
i feel like the issue is that you're scared of the professor's judgements :0 i think without that, it will be less tiring >_<
Stopping while being in a good mood can be a good advice, I will try it when the bad moment will be passed
( even if it's like... 3 weeks in for now ? But I know that a statement that disappear and come back so)
It's a mix of a lot of stuff yeah :')
But I asked here because even outside of animation or with commission etc, I think a lot of people could have faced the same situation
LOL i find myself watching youtube motivation speech for the past 2 days over the stress of commissions but honestly it gets me more tired xD
And related to it, I found it SO DIFFICULT to stay on one project for a year. ( even with side drawings etc)
I always have like "obsession" on some stuff I discovered, get into with passion and just get out after 3days-1y
So EVERYTIME I have to work on my movie ( even if I tried to take a subject that can maintain all my attention)
It feels like I don't want to draw it because of others "obsessions"
It sounded kinda funny to me, but it really helped me when I tried it.
I was in a bad place with my art blocks, and recently this advice really saved me.
It even got me to the point where I would get so excited about something, and then stop with work, and just walk around the house and annoy my boyfriend with what I did and what I will do and all ideas, brainstorming him while he is there like
why me?
It got me excited to get back to doing something.
And as of school projects and all that.. I was stressing a lot about my school and projects, and really I could't escape that. Now I would't stress a bit but now I'm done with all that xd
I will try it clearly because I'm really subject to burn out and art blocks A LOT !
I get back into sport this year to not get in a too bad burn out. To force myself to do anything else than art sometime ahahah
awww your boyfriend is so sweet xD
i think it's normal to not be motivated by school tasks, like if the same book was to be given as homework, usually students would feel bored by it
Uh, feeling this too.
Most of the advices I've got on this were that 'I'm not doing what I am enjoying' but that's not true.
I am working in gaming industry and I love every part of it, but sometimes I just get too much of one thing over and over. Even if things change, it just bores me sometimes to the point I would rather just stop drawing at all for a while than have to work on 'that project again'.
Yeah I feel this!
I had an internship in an animation studio and it feel sooooooo hard to stay motivated even after graduation
Like I spent two months in, and had to draw a kitchen for almost 2 month ! It was sooo boring even if I looooveeeeeee pre production and research, graphic development etc
