Issue Summary:
A player on our server is unable to log in to Dynmap. The issue has been persistent for several weeks.

Details:

The player can only access Dynmap if they create a completely new account each time.

After logging out or the next day, logging in again with that same account always results in “Login failed.”

I already removed the player from the Dynmap webauth.txt and ids-by-ip.txt and asked them to register again — but even after multiple restarts, it didn’t help.

The player has a static IP address (not dynamic).

They tried all of the following:

Clearing browser cookies and cache

Testing with different browsers

Flushing DNS

Creating a new account manually through the web UI and through the config

I even tried creating an account manually for them in Dynmap’s user storage, but the problem remains.

Expected behavior:
After creating a new account and confirming it, the player should be able to log in consistently without needing to create a new account each time.

Actual behavior:
Every time they try to log in again (after some time or restart), they get “Login failed.”

IP of the player: Static (unchanged)

A few other players have this issue but for most of the players it works fine.

Tell the user to remember their password and or use the correct link.

You can verify this as a admin by asking th user for the login details. Most likely a bad favorite/url

Just 1 user all other users are fine?

#

Is the user using a password manager? I would be interested if you from your browser can login to Dynmap using their credentials
