Hello! How would I remove rendered tiles outside of the worldborder?
Use the fullrender limits and hidestyle air to define a maximum area and then rerender the map
The last few dmap commands on the commands page should help you
@chrome quartz did you get it to work?
@sage linden apologies for the late reply
I was having a super hard time getting the commands to work, was not sure on some of them. What I ended up doing was installing worldborder and using a command they have called /wb trim, this trims all chunks outside of the border, then you can use /dynmap full render
True but as soon as a player moves to the worldborder those chunks will get generated
So fullrenderlimits with hidestyle air are better
I do have a question about this though
/dmap worldset worldname extrazoomout:<N>
I set a zoomout level to 4, however when I zoom out all the way the rendered chunks go black and I have to zoom back in slightly, do you know how to make it so the rendered chunks stay at the extra zoomed out level?
im going to test this now
sorry for the ping, wont do that again
you need to purge the map and run a new fullrender for the quickest fix
you didn't set hidestyle to air
no because I switched to using worldborder and /wb trim
it added that trim along the side of the map
oh that
yeah so im pretty sure nothing gets generated past that trim
apart from the nice grey border that is there now
what does "hidestyle air" do? the renderlimits is self explanatory
can I see your map if you have one please
I have this one but it is not for this purpose https://dynmap-setup.jurgenmk.nl/
Minecraft Dynamic Map
hidestyle air is black replacement of chunks, ocean is water replacement and the default stone is stone replacement
thank you for sending me that. helps to see other exampls
that's what the setup server is for :D
pretty standard imo, but yeah, at least the maps are changed from default :D most of what I see in #share-your-map don't even do that
Yeah true.
Lat couple questions and I'm going to get out of your hair for good.
How do you remove one of the viewing options, such as caves?
I've seen a server have written text on their map, like labeling a place such as spawn.
Do I need a custom plugin to implement this that hooks into dmap or does it have to do with the "map/world configuration commands" on the wiki?
oh okay thanks, probably should of checked there
for example, something like this
I don't think you can do that, but not sure
