The oppressor is more versatile. No one says you can't use it for hangar missions as well. In fact, I use it on the missions where I need to hop back on quick. The buzzard and fh hunter I have are great for suppressive fire when I'm helping someone with theirs but I can take my time if I'm on my own.

I believe its stealth functions prevents the police from noticing you even if they see you but I can't be certain. That and speed I guess.
