it's best to just swim out, but if you want to loot the main dock before exiting then set it as your escape route

Here's kind of what I do. Also cayo pays the most if you do it with another person. Kill any guard that is in your way but some guards don't really move and aren't a threat so leave them. The best exit is to steal the motorcycle that's outside the compound and drive it to the south tip of the island and just swim outside of the maps borders and it'll register a W. There's a little patch of white sand pretty close to the south tip that registers a win a little bit sooner. I would suggest finding it to save a minute or two of swimming

I typically pick kosatka as the exit point because it is directly north of the southern tip meaning you just swim with it lined up in the center of the bottom of your map and you'll swim almost perfectly south of the island
