Quick Guide on how to use the Rockstar Editor on console

Hold d pad down then X/A to record a clip, repeat to save it, go to story mode, then while paused navigate to last tab
Once you're there open the editor and create a new project, then select the clip you want
While going through the timeline pick a frame you want to use, press X/A to place a marker, then switch the camera to free cam
Then you'll have free reign to adjust camera placement, rotation, zoom, depth of field and various filters
Once you have a good angle, close the menu, press R3/RS to hide the HUD and take a screenshot with the Share button/Home + Y
Then all you do is post it to Twitter, download it to your phone and voila
You can delete the tweet if you want to

How to record gameplay for the Rockstar Editor

Long overdue but this will help tenfold if you want the best out of your surroundings in GTA V and GTA Online, whether it be vehicles, people and the environment.
This is only accessible in the story mode though so it's not the quickest way to get photos.

Note: you cannot record while in the vicinity of Fort Zancudo Military Base for 'national security reasons'.

Note: If you're on PC, make sure you have enough allocated storage on your allocated hard drives, otherwise it will not record. Easiest way to check is to go the Settings, then Rockstar Editor.

Step 1: Accessing the Rockstar Editor

Method 1 (Controller on PS4/5, Xbox One/SS/X, PC with Controller)
{Keyboard Binds on PC}

• Setup whatever you wanted to shoot.

• Hold DPad Down + A/X {F1} to start recording a clip. You can let it run or you can stop the recording by repeating this.
  -- You can also use instant replay to capture 30 seconds of footage every time you die, that you can also use in the Editor. That is activated by holding DPad Down and B/Circle {F2}<

• Once you have your desired footage, enter story mode by either navigating to the main menu, then the Online tab, then selecting Return to Story Mode or by simply holding DPad Down {Left Alt} and holding your right stick {Move mouse} to any of the story mode characters you have. Then accept the prompt to return to Story Mode.

• Once you have returned, wait for a second until you're able to move around, then enter the Pause Menu and scroll all the way to the end tab named Rockstar Editor, then select Create New Project and accept the prompt.

• Select Add Clips and add whichever clip you want to use, adding that clip to the timeline. From here, press A/X {Enter} to Edit Clip. Accept the prompt and wait for the clip to load.

Step 2: Freedom

Here you have (almost) total control of a camera as well as effects.

• If you want to capture a specific point on a timeline, play the clip by pressing R2/RT {Space} or scrub through using the left stick {Mouse wheel, Arrow keys for fine scrubbing} and pressing Square/X {M} places a marker, whilst revealing the camera and effects options.

This is where you can experiment with cameras and effects so I won't go into detail here. But that's all. Getting screenshots are in separate tutorials within the pins so check out the rest.
